Down and Out

I've been down and out myself for weeks now. I'm disabled now from spinal cord damage due to nerve root and cord compression that went on too long, and lately the pain is so severe that I've wanted the Lord to come right now. Today I find out that my niece has attempted suicide again, and almost succeeded. I don't say anything on Facebook about this and trust this to remain strictly private to those of you who know me beyond CF.

Somedays I don't think I can take this anymore. The pain can be so bad that I scream into my mattress so others in the house don't hear me. I'm maxed out on narcotics and have 21 prescriptions to everything under the sun, and have heard those dreaded works "there is nothing more we can do for you."

I want to serve the Lord and my family as well as any others as long as i'm still alive, but it is a stuggle to continue like this.

I am sorry you are going through this. I will pray for you that God comforts you and heals you.
