Great. Now how does that explain your statement that some would say implies that people who watch Fox News are too dumb and too poor for the network to waste their time posting market information?
It seems like you misunderstood his post. He didn't say or imply that all who watch FOXNews are dumb or poor.

The majority of Americans do not understand the stock tickers for many reasons, but mostly because they do not focus on stocks and are not interested in it. Those that have stocks rely on their apps or perhaps an online site that tracks the market, rather than any TV station.

Does Fox News post that information? I think someone higher than me already implied that.

But then again, if someone has over 100 shares of a high performing stock, they aren't getting the information from the TV.

In 1990 when I had a quarter ounce Krugerrand, the commodity page from the previous days USA Today was sufficient. Once I had acquired 2 kilograms of gold, not so much anymore.

Since February 15th, my Walmart portfolio has lost just under $240,000. Hasn't hurt me because I'm not depending on that money but I'll bet some of the Walton family took a hit that hurts a little.

Okay. Fair point.

Basically, what you are saying is God forbid Trump is successful for the good of the country. As long as people "snap out of their Trump worship." I believe that meets the standard of hating Trump more than you love your country.
I didn't see this before, but why are democrats copying Trump in bragging about the stock market and have liberals turned to love Wall Street? I noticed the Dems were as quiet as church mice during Jan 2022 and Oct 2022 when the Dow dropped to 28k. Selective memory in politics and now the stock market. As long as it makes them feel good.

Holy false dichotomy Batman!
I don’t “hate” Trump: I think him a fine gentleman who basically does what he wants and doesn’t take “no” for an answer.
As a polititainer, he’s certainly not “boring”!

I just disagree with his policies.
That’s still “allowed”, right?

President Trump’s policies have needlessly damaged many of our institutions; I know that you’re likely to disagree with my assessment, but that’s exactly why we’re here, to have someplace to hash things out and “reason together”.

You like his policies, I get that.

I pledge (to try) to not “assign” motives for why you support of President Trump is passionately as you seem to do.
.
With that I’d ask you to grant me the same mercy, thanks

Tariffs are part of a long term strategy to bring strong growth to the American industries and very strong economic growth for all Americans.... not for those who play short term strategies with Wall Street stocks.
Everything will be better after the chaos?
Well, why didn’t you say so!?

To be fair, it could be the same "long term strategy" that led to multiple bankruptcies and felony convictions for fraud.
Yeah, I had planned to die broke too, coincidentally enough.

I’m fairly certain that the folks looking after the Walton’s money have been planning on a “bear market”, and are probably long on shorts.
If you know what’s likely to happen with Trump steering the ship of state, you’ll still make money.

I never claimed to be smart or book smart, but the Lord has given me a 75% Spock and 25% Kirk way of thinking with a healthy dose of common sense. I've heard most of my political life how intelligent liberals are, and Republican voters are uneducated even in these forums. Which I've always believed to be hogwash. This may cause some gnashing of teeth, but here it goes.

I see liberal, both young and old, all giddy, stroking each other's egos over the current market conditions, glorifying their tribal leader Biden. Using the liberals' logic in this thread tells me that Trump's one term waxed Obama's two terms. Way to go, Trump!?

Using market history as a guide and there are no certainties but only probabilities. Trump has 3 years and 9 months left in his term, and the probability is that Trump's presidency will be way better than Biden's could be. Hurray for Trump!

Sometimes, I laugh at seeing intelligence at work.

You need to understand; no one is "giddy" about their 401ks crashing.

Millions of people were protesting across America. They weren't doing that and laughing.
If there is ANY shaudenfreude it's there because the left saw this coming from a mile away.

Because we.were.right. and so we make stupid penguin jokes and ironic funny protest
signs that are light hearted because The choice is either get really really mad or make joke about it.

Using market history as a guide and there are no certainties but only probabilities.
Folks are saying there will be a recession and it will be the only recession in American history that was caused almost solely due to a government intervention.

Trump has 3 years and 9 months left in his term, and the probability is that Trump's presidency will be way better than Biden's could be. Hurray for Trump!
It's not appropriateto confuse feelings and hopes with "probabilities".
Sometimes, I laugh at seeing intelligence at work.
Laughing at things we don't understand is a common reaction. Hence the lwfts response to Trump's tarriffs...we don't understand why he's doing something so objectively stupid and destructive.

and have liberals turned to love Wall Street?
That's where we elitists keep our money. We want companies to be profitable, but also regulated to prevent them from doing wicked things.

I noticed the Dems were as quiet as church mice during Jan 2022 and Oct 2022
We were busy talking about some of its causes, like the inevitable inflation that comes after the pandemic spending, and the not-inevitable Russian invasion of Ukraine that disrupted markets.

The situation today is the inevitable result of Trump's unilateral war on free trade.

I guess these are the sorts of posts we get until Fox News or RT hands out new talking points to "explain" Trump's actions?
