• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Your saying I dont want to be saved? are you kidding me? I want this more than anything else in the world.

How about you? doesnt what you are saying to me apply to you as well since your worrying about the same thing?
No that's not what I'm saying. Alright, how about I give you a test about whether you've committed the unforgivable sin?

Do you care about salvation?

Do you believe what the Bible says about Jesus?

Yes and Yes. But the problem is all of my willfull sinning after knowing better. Hebrews says that if we continue to sin willfully after recieving the knowledge of the truth their no longer remains a sacrafice for sins.

So you see what am I supposed to think?

Ann, I have pointed out in scripture before that a person can indeed harden their heart to the point that God stops dealing with the person. There is proof of this all througout the Bible and when a person comes to that point he is done. Period. There are also real life testimonies of people who have crossed this line while still yet alive on this earth.

I have not seen any where in scripture where a person is turned down that comes to Jesus for mercy ,never not once.

The gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

The scripture cannot be broken.

Those peoples testimonies? They are deceived.

Anything someone tells us, we must search the scriptures to see if those things be so.

Here is what Jesus says and Jesus is Truth.

Jesus said verily verily I say unto you, he that believeth on Me has everlasting life.

Jesus said he that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out.

Jesus said whosoever will may come and drink freely from the Water of Life

Not earned, free.

Jesus is Truth

Jesus Words will not pass away

The scripture cannot be broken.

Anyone who does not believe Jesus Words may be in fear doubt or confusion, or something.

Romans 3:4
God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written,

People today seem to have the idea that God is only a God of mercy and it does not matter how long you trifle with his patience and mercy. That could not be further from the truth as God is also a God of justice.

But Jesus mercy endures forever

is new every morning and

triumphs over justice

Jesus is not willing that any perish

and Jesus says whosoever will may come and drink freely from the Water of Life.

I do appreciate what your trying to do for me but I must say that I have to disagree with some of your perspectives.

I realize very much how terrifying and anguishing all the ocd and doubts are.

I realize how very real the terror and grief feels

I realize how this ocd can keep a person thinking that all this is proof that Jesus does not want to forgive or cannot forgive,

However

Jesus is not willing that any perish

Nothing is impossible to Jesus

Jesus said He will in no wise cast out anyone who comes to Him.

All who call on the Name of the Lord shall be saved

regardless of anything

no conditions

Matthew 19:26
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

2 Corinthians 5:19
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

God wants to save

God can save

we just come

Which verse? Look, once you are saved, you're saved. The Bible says that as long as we live on earth, we're sinners. That means even after we are saved, we sin. But the Bible also says God forgives our sin if we confess it to Him. You're supposed to think that even when your heart condemns you, God is greater and knows everything. (1 John 3:20)

PS: Sorry if the verse is wrong.

Well, when you commit the unforgivable sin, you no longer care about God, salvation etc. At all. You love your sin and hate the things of God. Do you hate the things of God? Remember, Jesus is a shepherd. When His sheep are astray, He leads them back home.

We must stop sinning

stop continuing to sin

The sin is not believing, and that is why there is no sacrifice.

The answer to this is to stop sinning this sin of unbelief that keeps a person condemned

The reason Jesus said a person is condemned is because they believe not

Jesus said , The work of God is to believe in Jesus

So a person stops continuing in unbelief

and begins believing

which Jesus said is the work of God.

He that believeth in Jesus has everlasting life

and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all unrighteousness.

John 3:18
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John 6:29
Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
