I have 4 children, 3 boys and 1 girl. I've already lived through the teenage years of my eldest son (he's now 21) and we're now in the middle of the teenage years for my daughter (17). Good grief is all I can say! First of all raising a teenager these days is such a challenge. But am I the only one who finds its twice as hard with girls as it is with boys? I mean we had a few issues with my son, but it seems that each day I've got new hairs springing up with my daughter. lol
Also, dating! oy!!! We didn't have much issues with my son dating. He dating nice girls and things went smoothly. For my daughter, I feel like I'm a military commander on patrol at all times!
I think if I survive these years with any hair left in my head it will be a miracle! lol
The point to my thread, why does there seem to be an unavoidable double standard when it comes to parenting teenage girls vs teenage boys. I've spoken to many of my friends and they confirm there was a huge difference in their homes as well.
