Lot is a type of the Church and the Saints or Bride are removed from the Earth before the Tribulation period when God pours out His wrath upon the world. Sinners are put in hell when He returns at the end of the Tribulation period. This is when His feet touch the ground at the Mount of Olives at the same place he left the earth from. The end of the world takes place at the end of the 1,000 year reign of Christ at the end of the Tribulation period. Death - hell & the grave will be thrown into the lake of fire and this is the second death. All who are not written in the Lambs book of life.

The clock the moves backwards at times and stops at others. The same clock that people like Hal Lindsey (I think it was in his out-of-print book, "Countdown to Armageddon"), John Hagee and friends used (still do?) as an indication that were seeing the signs and the end is near. It's some Western fetish with apocalyptic scenarios and outcomes...for everything. Everything is imagined as always being in crisis, at a tipping point, the beginning of the end, nearing midnight, unsustainable, etc...

I read Hal Lindsey’s book, “The Late Great Planet Earth,” in the 70’s. His predictions and interpretations were warped and many have forgotten him.

“The challenge is what do we do about it?” President Rachel Bronson told The Washington Post. In the clock’s grimmest moment ever, she believes years of dire warnings have begun to break through.

“People are starting to get it,” Bronson said, pointing to the movement ignited by teen climate activist Greta Thunberg. “But we need our leaders to be responding.”

Jerry Brown, the former California governor who serves as executive chair for the Bulletin, had a darker message after the clock was unveiled. The longtime Democratic politician said he sees “a world of vast, deep and pervasive complacency” toward the Doomsday Clock’s message across the political spectrum.

I lmao, but I guess this is serious. I think it's based on nuclear war and AGW. Nuclear was probably won't happen if Iran doesn't get to make the bomb. Moreover, I'm more concerned about a dirty bomb being created and exploded by terrorists. That would call for cries of using nukes in retaliation if a country is identified which could set off a global conflict..

Actually, we have not had WW III due to the creation of nuclear weapons. The thinking is MAD prevents the horrors of having a global nuclear war. As for AGW, CO2 is probably good for humans. We also can build large fans to deal with excess and help find and pump out cleaner crude oil.

Sounds like another Hail Mary to try and impeach Trump before he gets re-elected this year. Thus, I'll sit on the sidelines and just get ready for my Niners playing the Chiefs in SB 54.
