All video game movies do. >.< Video games are popular cause they're video games, not cause they'd make good movies. They need to make a Silent Hill movie. that game was about story, not gameplay, that's why it'd be perfect for the silver screen.

Hm, RPGs seem like good waypoints for movies, but rarely work that way. Final Fantasy wasn't great, and Dungeons and Dragons was...well, the less said the better. They're also making a Bloodrayne movie and a Hunter the Reckoning movie...with director Uwe Boll, official butcher of House of the Dead. >.< Ugh he makes bad movies.

You mean they didn't learn their lessons after the Resident Evil movies? That they have to resort to this just confirms that a.) Hollywood really is bankrupt when it comes to original ideas, b.) they're just looking to make a quick profit, or c.) all of the above and then some.
There's also a sequel to the Dungeons & Dragons movie in the works, which is just as depressing...

I mean what was thataboutl? Alarum you're right about the MK movie, I've always liked it. I don't know much about the halo movie. I hope they aren't as bad as what we're putting them out to be haha, but you're more then likely right. The Resident Evil movies wern't that bad. The laser grid in the 1st Resident Evil was the coolest thing ever. The line just becomes a grid... it freaked me out a little.

Final Fantasy the movie was junk. It was one of those movies where you could identify bad guys by their clothing color (black). And this was the subtle part of the movie.

I cant wait to see The Rock in it. I so far have enjoyed all the movies Ive seen with him in it, especially Walking Tall I think its called?

Ok....so....it's Doom...but it's not on Mars....and there are no demons....Isn't that a bit like making Star Wars, but having it set in Georgia...and instead of storm troopers there are KKK members? I hate hollywood. If you're not going to stick to the premise that made the game cool, don't bother making it.

I'll undoubtedly end up going to see it, just like I saw Resident Evil 2 even though I hated the first. I'm quite devoted to my games. To a point of course. I'll bash this movie till I'm put away if I have to.

I hear they're making a sequel game to Final Fantasy VII. As well as a movie based on it, Advent Children.

When I first heard about it, I was excited. Now that it is just another action movie with a game title to it, I am depressed. I hear the only way they will make the Halo movie is if they get Ridley Scott, and if they do, I sincerely doubt the movie will be anything but spectacular.

Indeed, they are making a Silent Hill movie, although I don't think it's going to be based on any of the existing characters. It would rock if they adapted SH2 for the big screen.

I've never played DOOM, but I'd like too. I may go see the movie, but it does sound like they've messed it up already.
