Death is too Easy
Sitting on the balcony listening to the waves
I realize how easy it would be to quit.
To jump over the edge and let the waves swallow me
I understand the ease of giving up
To dig a hole in the gritty sand and bury myself
I comprehend the simplicity of letting go
To no longer breath and asphyxiate myself
But I have never been one to take the easy road
So I struggle onward hoping for a rainbow on the horizon

I stare out into nothing
I look out into darkness
All I see are the stars in your sky
All I recognize is the emptiness of night
I cannot see you but I know you're there
I cannot touch you but I feel your stare
I thank you for the nothingness
I thank you for the dark
I thank you for the stars in the night
I thank you for your presence
I thank you for your stare
I thank you, Lord, for always being there

My Heart is a Blister
I give up, I don't want to even try
I give up, All you do is make me cry
I no longer care, All you want to do is fight
I no longer care, I'm sick of holding my fists so tight
I want to leave, so I never have to see you
I want to leave, I'm tired of you making me feel the way I do
I hate you, You make my heart one big blister
I hate you, even if you are my little sister

Rage
The blood in my veins is boiling
I see my shirt move with the aggitated pulsing of my heart
My hands are clenched so tightly my fingers are purple
My brow twitches in pain from the deep scowl
Even my toes have cramped
All of this is because of my intense rage

I want to rip out my bloddy veins
I want to cut up my pulsating heart
I want to smash my fists through glass
I want to scrape off my furrowed brow
I want to stamp off my cramped up toes
All of this is because of my all consuming, overwhelming, devastating,
unquenchable, intense rage

Erin I knew you been through some stuff by other threads.Sending you a big cyber hug!!
It's hard sometimes wondering why we go through some of the stuff we do but God does care for you. You are a Very Special Person with a BIG heart. You have been a blessing to me.
Keep writing!!! You might never know the distants you might touch someones heart and help with healing as you heal yourself through your writing.

Hey,

Personally i think your writing is very good and emotional. I know for me when i write i let my emotions go and the pen just kinda goes too. After im done im often surprised at what i have written down how good or horrid or fun or dark it is. But in the end it is usually the truth about how i feel about God and/or life and what ive been going through in my walk. you should keep writing and posting. Anyways, just wanted to encoruage you a bit. i know i write and its hard to find anyone to honestly sit down and read anything.. especially if you have more than a 20 line poem...later

Man, I'm always late for the good stuff. Blanton, your writing is amazing. My writing teacher always told me that I had to be more descriptive. That my writing should touch the reader. That if it's happy, they should smile. If it's sad, they should weep. My writing teacher would have let you teach the class with your writing. She would love it. I got teary eyed. Your writing is descriptive and to the point, it's amazing. Awesome. Wonderful. Keep up the good work. God bless.
