So if a teacher does not want to talk about CRT they can't be compelled to do so.
But if they do want to talk about CRT, they have to have answers and material for “why it’s bad” too?

It's currently becoming more popular in the us. Boom! Relevant again!
discussion.

No it's not because it's not a matter of current event not is it a matter of widely debated matter of public policy.

You guys KNOW you are off base on this topic. Why are you so stick in it?

Use something that is actually relevant.

No they are not. The only place it was a matter of that was in Germany.
Teachers can't teach about social events in other countries? The bill says nothing about restricting it to US-only topics.

Why don't we pick a current topic to discuss where this law would actually apply?
I gave another example in post #53 - this time of a widely-debated topic that doesn't really have two sides to teach because one of those sides is delusional.

You cannot believe that the Holocaust is a widely debated and current controversial topic do you?
Of course not. Doesn't mean that others don't.

Stop denying reality.

Look at the story in the op.

The OP is concerned about something that is irrelevant to the legislation. It's been proven. It's time to get off the hill.

If you are concerned about it, pick an actual relevant topic that applies to the legislation. Not some part of history that doesnt apply in the least.

You guys know it doesn't apply yet you can't admit you and the OP are off base. We might actually have a relevant discussion if you picked a relevant topic.

Again the legislation is about not FORCING teachers to teach about CURRENT issues and CURRENT PUBLIC POLICY. You know good and well that has NOTHING to do with the Holocaust.

Operative word there is "compelled." Very different than the narrative's spin of "they're banning history from being taught" I don't see the issue. Kids need to learn about these things, but without the bias present in CRT rooted curriculum.

I learned about slavery, the civil war, and the holocaust in American and World History classes in high school, long before CRT. I see nothing that's all of a sudden going to stop or outlaw that. This is about narrative, bias and targeted spins on historical facts to have students reach a predefined conclusion: "America bad."
