I have some $$ in a Paypal account! The thing is, I don't have the password with me! I don't remember the password for the email account I used to sign up at the time, either! It is at my apartment on a floppy. I am currently home from college, and therefore not at my apartment. The next time I go there, I will donate some dough.

Erwin, I agree that a site such as this deserves financial assistance as it is an asset to God's work, however I think that marking people who have given more than $20 is cruel.

I would love to give you some money but I can't because i currently live off around $55 a week. Out of that comes my money for the church, my rent, my food and my bills.

The list of supporters seems like a good idea, but as someone who simply cannot afford to become a "site supporter" I simply feel that your system makes me look like less of a person than the people who can have the site supporter logo by their name.

i am not suggesting that you HAVE to change the system you have set up, I merely think that you should think about it and make an informed decision about the idea.

i do however think that this site is wonderful, a great evamngelistic tool and a place where Christians can gain much needed support in a world where Christians are becoming fewer and fewer.

Keep up the good work

The Site Supporter idea is to recognize people who have made a generous donation to the site - these people do not get any other perks - all our features are free whether you donate or not. They are only donating out of the goodness of their heart, and deserve to be recognized for this. However, the aim of donations is not to get recognition, but to contribute to this community as members.

No one is under an obligation to donate any money to this site by any means :) - only do so if you feel you can afford to. I understand there are some who may not be able to - that is fine. You will not be restricted in your access to this site. People who can afford to are encouraged to do so.

As our site grows, our daily running costs continue to increase, so every little bit counts. :)

That's not what I mean, I just think that marking everyone who donates at evry post is unfair to those who would like to give but can't. I don't think that having a link to a page with a list of supporters is a bad thing, but to seperate those with less money than others is unfair

Because we need funds to keep this site going (I just realized that I need to purchase more bandwidth) I have made it so that from now on members who donate any amount, no matter how small, will officially be known as a "
support.gif
Site Supporter". They will get an icon in their posts and profiles, and will also be listed in our Site Supporters List.

So there is no longer a minimum limit of $20 - donations of ANY AMOUNT will now be acceptable to be made into a "
support.gif
Site Supporter".

So please consider donating. :)

Erwin,

How about a donation of bandwidth? I know that sounds kind of silly but I do web design work and always host off a service that gives me waaay more bandwidth and storage space than I need. All in all I use about 2% of what I have available.

I currently have four domains available, each with a 15GB per month limit that I use almost none of. It's just a little that can add up to a lot, hosting avatars and icons should cut down a great deal on CF bandwidth.
