  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hey I just got a Organ Donor card and I want to sign it as some members of my family and friends families have died waiting for organs and I feel it is right. But is right by god? I know some people don't do it for religious reasons. But isnt giving someone the gift of life the ultimate good dead?(other then bringing them to christ). If it depends on what church I go to i go to a church thats a mix of Anglician, Lutheran, and Salvation Army. But mostly Salvation Army.

Thanks Dave

Different churches have different doctrines on this matter. If you want to know specifically what your church believes, you could talk with your pastor or visit the appropriate forum I believe that being an organ donor is a good thing. But if you are unsure, then find out what your church believes before making your decision.

I can't imagine why anyone would feel it was wrong to be an organ donor? As that bumper sticker says "don't take your organs with you, heaven knows we need them here". I am signed up to be an organ donor and am also donating my body to science after I die. They can bury me once they're done with me.

In the end, God is going to make your body perfect anyway. You won't need the organs while you are waiting for him to raise you up again, and you'll be perfect when he does, so why not give the organs to someone here on earth who needs them? I think it's a wonderful idea myself, and both my husband and I plan to be organ donors.

QUestion,
If a person who has had a bad life so far, been hurt by people and has in turn hurt others in the past, yet has recently come back to the Lord. Has made nothing of their life, and when he dies will have left nothing but bad thoughts from folks who cannot understand God's forgiveness to those who seek it. If this such person would donate his organs while still alive, causing his own death by the gift, would this be seen as suicide? When the person did not take his own life, but had doctors give his life parts to those worthy of a life and a future?

Dear Skaven

In this country laws have changed. They just can't take a body even if they were homeless and no one claimed the body.

In order to be a cadaver
A person has to donate their ENTIRE BODY except for some parts of the eye they can give to somebody else .

Should you do this, you get to hang around in this world for up to two WHOLE years while new doctors cut you up in tiny pieces to see just what made you tick.

Every medical doctor you go to held the knife and sliced up a body so that he could LEARN. I look at it this way, better he learn on the dead then learn on me.

Now GOD'S WORD says:

" DUST TO DUST "

Does it make any difference if we turn to that finale dust in one second or in ten years. We are still dust.

Is there anyone here that doubts GOD'S ABILTY to make you a HEAVENLY BODY?

Think HE is going to use the same dust?

What about when the worms eat you? What happens then? Different kind of DUST?

It is the SOUL that better have the proper attention.
Stop worrying about the DUST!

With our eyes on JESUS we have no problem with DUST.

THANK GOD WE CAN REMEMBER:

XEven though you can't see Him, GOD is there!O
( click on the X and move to the O ) ( then feel who is around you )

Wonderwaleye, you are talking about something different from organ donation. Medical colleges do take body donations for use in training medical students (I have a friend who worked in a cadaver lab) but there is also a way to will specific parts for transplant purposes. Hearts, lungs, livers, kidneys, and eyes are all used from people who have died for transplants in the chronically ill. http://www.organdonor.gov/ This tells about the organ donation program, and the need that exists in our country for donors. http://www.medcure.org/ - This tells about whole body donation for medical science. And this tells about the difference between the two. http://www.funerals.org/faq/donation.htm

This is a decision only you can make. I can tell you that the anglican church does support organ donation. Pray for a peace about it. Once we have a physical death, our soul leaves the body and we have no use for our organs. Here is a website that shows the various church views on the topic: http://www.transweb.org/qa/qa_txp/faq_religion.html It looks like most churches view it as a personal decision and support organ donation as a charitable act. This is one of those things that is not directly spoken of in the Bible, so you are going to have to rely on your own sense of reason and your own personal convictions and sense of peace about it. God will grant you peace to do what is right for you to do. God bless!

Guess no one took my post seriously, was only a question. Sorry for including it into the discussion. WIll not post it again.
Dear Dante61

Sorry no one answered your question. Maybe it would help if maybe you understood why.

Folks posting on a post are supposed to be obligated to the original poster. The one that starts the post. Referred to as the OP.

Everyone's question is taken seriously but you must remember their train of thought is to the original post. Or at least it's supposed to be.

If someone posts a question that is different it is referred to as hijacking the thread. Your new here and I'm sure you where not aware.

When you have ANY question you would like to talk about just post a new thread.

You are welcome here and there are a lot of good folks that want to help anyway they can. So lets forgive each other and start anew.

ALWAYS REMEMBERING:

XEven though you can't see Him, GOD is there!O

Pray about it.

But i see this as giving life to someone who is about to die. I'M DEAD! WHAT USE FOR THESE ORGANS DO I HAVE?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Why not save somebody's life by giving what you don't need anymore?
