But one North Texas Tesla owner is fighting back. He has filed a civil lawsuit against the man accused of keying his Model X earlier in March while it was parked at DFW Airport.
Citing damage to the car, lost wages, and emotional duress, he is seeking $1 million in damages.
The accused, Rafael Hernandez, was arrested by DFW Airport Police over the weekend. Hernandez has been charged with criminal mischief and is expected to make his first court appearance on April 8.

I love that she filmed her crime - it will be an interesting case to follow.

3 people face federal charges in Tesla arson attacks in U.S. as 80 more vehicles at Canada dealership are damaged

About 80 Tesla vehicles at a car dealership in Canada were damaged, authorities said, as the U.S. attorney general announced charges Thursday against three people accused of using Molotov cocktails to set fire to Tesla cars and charging stations.
On Wednesday, police in Hamilton, Ontario, were called to a dealership on Wentworth Street for a report of damage to vehicles that had been parked outside. The vehicles had deep scratches, punctured tires and other damage, Hamilton police said in a news release.

This thread is to document the people arrested for violence and destruction of Tesla dealership and individually owned.

Suspect arrested in Molotov attack on Vegas Tesla dealership that had ‘the hallmarks of terrorism’

Kim was charged with 15 counts ranging from destruction of property, suspicion of arson, and possessing a fire device, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Thank you for posting this thread, to highlight the shameful acts of these people.

If I find bodycam videos of the arrest of these people would you like me to link those? Since I suspect some of them will resist arrest or say some very terrible things, and misguided people who seem to think this dangerous vandalism is a “harmless prank” or a form of legitimate social protest should at least have the opportunity to see the conditions and sorts of men who engage in this kind of evil.

Whatever happened to protecting the environment by promoting the usage of battery electric vehicles? Elon Musk invested the capital to apply the advanced batteries being used in IT applications to passenger cars, and in so doing is largely responsible for electric passenger cars becoming a mainstream mode of transport for the first time in a century. And these vehicles have reduced pollution from passenger car emissions. This in turn has directly benefitted those suffering from respiratory ailments (although not to the same extent as taking measures to suck the wind out of the economy of Communist China, since that country, and certain other developing countries, continue to burn massive amounts of coal and use massive numbers of polluting vehicles, and operate their industries in a manner that even those who are not environmentalists find troubling, to the extent that China is being catastrophically polluted on a scale exceeding even the devastating environmental catastrophes caused by the USSR, such as the drainage of the Aral See.

Communist regimes, owing to their Nihilistic contempt for nature and various superstitions and substitute religious ceremonies such as the pillgrimages to the embalmed bodies of the founders (rendered artificially incorrupt in a grotesque parody of Christian saints who are naturally incorrupt) seem to be invariably more destructive than Christian-oriented government and other religious regimes related to religions which, like Christianity, respect nature, at least to some extent, although few stress the importance of stewardship for God’s creation as traditional liturgical Christianity, with the veneration of ascetics like St. Seraphim of Sarov known for their intense love even of irrational beasts.

This is still “a thing”.
There’s also this thing where people are angry at Musk and are doing stupid and sometimes illegal things to hurt his businesses.

It’s not right that this is happening to Musk, but it is understandable.

Elon Musk invested the capital to apply the advanced batteries being used in IT applications to passenger cars, and in so doing is largely responsible for electric passenger cars becoming a mainstream mode of transport for the first time in a century.
He got into the market ahead of of a lot of people but he didn’t invent anything

Quite the rabbit hole we got here.

And then somehow waxing philosophical.

Well, he did implement and then sell PayPal, which allowed him to be the patron of some extremely ambitious projects, some of which, like Tesla and SpaceX, have been incredibly successful. Others, for instance, the Hyperloop, are unlikely to see adoption in the near future, although some products of The Boring Company have been interesting, and I do suspect that in the long run, a hyperloop like technology will be adopted as a means of providing supersonic intercity transit within the continents, where overflight by supersonic and hypersonic airliners is problematic - a maglev operating in a low pressure or vacuum tube could offer hourly throughput that no airline could hope to match even with the most ambitious turn times.

However the costs of building a large scale hyperloop system are in my opinion beyond the current limits of what is economically viable, and what we should instead be doing is working to improve the airline industry and the railways - with less emphasis on very high speed rail and more emphasis on fast regional rail, which as Brightline and Amtrak’s services in the Northeast Corridor and the numerous privately owned Japanese railways, and even the commuter railways in Brazil, Argentina and Sao Paulo demonstrate, can be profitable. The focus should be on cultivating medium-speed corridors operating in the 120-160 MPH range that are privately operated and where possible, privately owned.

But in the long run, something like hyperloop, but with further refinements to provide faster speeds and larger diameter tunnels, would provide the kind of extremely high speed service that right now maglevs can attain only at extreme costs.

I made four round trips between Virginia and Michigan last year before the election and although it's not "cross country" I cross five states. Last year "rolling coal" on Teslas and other EVs was prevalent in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Virginia, and blocking Tesla chargers at the travel Plazas on the Ohio turnpike with large trucks was common. The owners of those vehicles didn't quite fit the Liberal Marxist description. I get to do another trip tomorrow and I will see if the anti EV demographic has changed.

Well, he did implement and then sell PayPal,
He didn't implement PayPal either. PayPal was the product of a rival company run by Peter Theil. That company bought Musk's less viable payment company (wait for it... X dot com) and the merged company was named after the leading product "PayPal". Musk became CEO of the merged company.
which allowed him to be the patron of some extremely ambitious projects, some of which, like Tesla and SpaceX, have been incredibly successful.
Agreed.
"hyperloop" is an overhyped, overpriced, alternative to regular fast trains with no tangible benefits, more points of failure, and much higher costs. It will never amount to anything.
