Suspect arrested in Molotov attack on Vegas Tesla dealership that had ‘the hallmarks of terrorism’
Kim was charged with 15 counts ranging from destruction of property, suspicion of arson, and possessing a fire device, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Protecting the most vulnerable among us, begins with protecting the least vulnerable among us, it appears.3 people face federal charges in Tesla arson attacks in U.S. as 80 more vehicles at Canada dealership are damaged
About 80 Tesla vehicles at a car dealership in Canada were damaged, authorities said, as the U.S. attorney general announced charges Thursday against three people accused of using Molotov cocktails to set fire to Tesla cars and charging stations. On Wednesday, police in Hamilton, Ontario, were called to a dealership on Wentworth Street for a report of damage to vehicles that had been parked outside. The vehicles had deep scratches, punctured tires and other damage, Hamilton police said in a news release.

This is still “a thing”.Whatever happened to protecting the environment by promoting the usage of battery electric vehicles?
He got into the market ahead of of a lot of people but he didn’t invent anythingElon Musk invested the capital to apply the advanced batteries being used in IT applications to passenger cars, and in so doing is largely responsible for electric passenger cars becoming a mainstream mode of transport for the first time in a century.
Quite the rabbit hole we got here. And these vehicles have reduced pollution from passenger car emissions. This in turn has directly benefitted those suffering from respiratory ailments (although not to the same extent as taking measures to suck the wind out of the economy of Communist China, since that country, and certain other developing countries, continue to burn massive amounts of coal and use massive numbers of polluting vehicles, and operate their industries in a manner that even those who are not environmentalists find troubling, to the extent that China is being catastrophically polluted on a scale exceeding even the devastating environmental catastrophes caused by the USSR, such as the drainage of the Aral See.
And then somehow waxing philosophical.Communist regimes, owing to their Nihilistic contempt for nature and various superstitions and substitute religious ceremonies such as the pillgrimages to the embalmed bodies of the founders (rendered artificially incorrupt in a grotesque parody of Christian saints who are naturally incorrupt) seem to be invariably more destructive than Christian-oriented government and other religious regimes related to religions which, like Christianity, respect nature, at least to some extent, although few stress the importance of stewardship for God’s creation as traditional liturgical Christianity, with the veneration of ascetics like St. Seraphim of Sarov known for their intense love even of irrational beasts.

He didn't implement PayPal either. PayPal was the product of a rival company run by Peter Theil. That company bought Musk's less viable payment company (wait for it... X dot com) and the merged company was named after the leading product "PayPal". Musk became CEO of the merged company.Well, he did implement and then sell PayPal,
Agreed.which allowed him to be the patron of some extremely ambitious projects, some of which, like Tesla and SpaceX, have been incredibly successful.
"hyperloop" is an overhyped, overpriced, alternative to regular fast trains with no tangible benefits, more points of failure, and much higher costs. It will never amount to anything.Others, for instance, the Hyperloop, are unlikely to see adoption in the near future, although some products of The Boring Company have been interesting, and I do suspect that in the long run, a hyperloop like technology will be adopted as a means of providing supersonic intercity transit within the continents, where overflight by supersonic and hypersonic airliners is problematic - a maglev operating in a low pressure or vacuum tube could offer hourly throughput that no airline could hope to match even with the most ambitious turn times.
However the costs of building a large scale hyperloop system are in my opinion beyond the current limits of what is economically viable, and what we should instead be doing is working to improve the airline industry and the railways - with less emphasis on very high speed rail and more emphasis on fast regional rail, which as Brightline and Amtrak’s services in the Northeast Corridor and the numerous privately owned Japanese railways, and even the commuter railways in Brazil, Argentina and Sao Paulo demonstrate, can be profitable. The focus should be on cultivating medium-speed corridors operating in the 120-160 MPH range that are privately operated and where possible, privately owned.
But in the long run, something like hyperloop, but with further refinements to provide faster speeds and larger diameter tunnels, would provide the kind of extremely high speed service that right now maglevs can attain only at extreme costs.
