  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I personally prefer cats because they don't beg for food, they generally don't jump all over you when you walk in the door, they don't slobber all over you, and they're not overly eager for attention. Cats are more independent which is a major plus and they normally keep themselves rather clean without any extra help most of the time. Also, most cats don't constantly beg for attention or food... lol My Grandma has this big dog at her house now and I really don't like that dog. It seems like everytime I go over there that dog comes up to me and slobbers on my hand or something without me realizing he is going to do it. Then earlier I had my cell phone in its leather case on the side of my pocket and the dog kept messing with it. Needless to say, I got angry at the dog because dogs messing with my cell phone is a major no no... lol

Dogs rule!!! I love dogs wanting attention and them being so excited and happy to see you when you get home. To always have someone there always excited and happy to see you only if you've been gone for 15 minutes is a great feeling. Also very few dogs actually slobber on you. Most dogs don't; only the huge ones do sometimes. Cats are more independent and can go away all day and do nothing, you can't play games with them, take them for walks and get excerise with them, you can't go swimming with them, or camping. Cats just lay around all day licking themselves. How fun. Also, there is always the fact of cats knocking everything over and whenever you have any type of food on the counter they eat it or something that would ruin it.
