No more assistance to veterans with planning burials!
No more disinfectants for VA hospitals!
And your source for that is......what?

DOGE to cancel government contracts that help veterans, records show

But the 875 contracts on the chopping block help cover medical services, fund cancer programs, recruit doctors and provide burial services to veterans, according to internal VA documents.

Another supported environmental testing to meet the Joint Commission’s safety standards. “Failure to do so may lead to facility closure and hospital acquired infections,” according to internal documents reviewed by The Post.

Ahh, good old dependable WaPo. You can always count on them to take the leftist position.....even without evidence.....since I can't access (like most of us here) their articles.

Why don't you try something we ALL can read?

DOGE Secretly Changes Its Website After Being Caught in Huge Lies

DOGE deleted the top five highest savings claims on its “wall of receipts” leaderboard after various news outlets pointed out multiple errors in its calculations, The New York Times’ David Fahrenthold reported Tuesday.
If you had taken the time and effort to watch the video I posted in #137 (I know, that's probably asking far too much) you would hear Musk himself admit that there would be mistakes. I don't think I have ever heard a progressive leftist admit anything even close to that.....especially here on this forum.

Apparently the thinking is that our predecessors were absolute idiots, who didn’t know “where the money goes”.
I thinknthere were plenty who knew. They just didn't care. Its the Federal government, rakes in tax money and spends it like there's no tomorrow.

Well it's time to care.

Rogan says "USAID is up to shady [stuff]"?

It also ships 2billion in grain (purchased from American farmers) to be distributed to starving people.

I feel like this is another great example of "baby out with the bathwater". The idea that the richest nation in the history of the world feels no moral or ethical obligation to help other nations....probably actually shouldn't be a surprise given Republicans aren't even keen to help Americans.

But maybe no that grain can go into the market!.....and drive the price down. That's what farmers wanted all along!

You don't actually think that food being sent to help.starving people will.never be sent again do you? Because that's not what the Sec of State said.

He said 92% of USAID projects were cancelled.

In his statement to the lower court, Pete Marocco, who is performing the duties of the deputy administrator of USAID, said each of USAID's grants had been reviewed and Secretary of State Marco Rubio decided to eliminate about 92% worth of the agency's grants.

Are you suggesting that the remaining 8% are the only food grants? That Rubio will restart some grants at some indefinite point in the future?

Until I hear or see the opposite actually being distributed, is there a reason I should not believe that?

We’ve always fought over “where the money goes”.
We always will.
There’s no quick-fix, one-step solution, it’s a daily grind and if we can‘t be at least as good a previous generations that fought but stayed (mostly) civil with one another…then maybe we should start thinking about a two-state solution?

So you obviously didn't watch the video I posted where Musk admitted that they would make mistakes. I think he already covered that......

No. He will restart them once he is assured they serve legitimate needs. You haven't been following this thread very well, have you? You don't listen to what Trump and Musk are actually saying, do you? You let your leftist propaganda sheets draw your conclusions for you (almost always wrongly) then try to pander that here as 'truth'. Why don't you make the effort to listen to them without preconception? There is amply\e opportunity to hear them out....and it is very easy to find. It just takes a little time.

From #152: "Because that's not what the Sec of State said."
Or did you not just bother to listen to it?

Feeding malnourished children is illegitimate? Supporting American business is illegitimate?

Trump assault on USAID leaves plant that makes peanut butter for malnourished kids scrambling

On Wednesday afternoon, Mark Moore, the CEO and co-founder of the Fitzgerald, Georgia-based plant, got word from the US Agency for International Development: MANA’s contracts with the agency were being canceled.

In their warehouse, Moore said, there are around 400,000 boxes of USAID-branded RUTF ready to be shipped out. He estimates that if USAID doesn’t pay MANA for those boxes, he will have at least $10 million in wasted peanut butter pouches on his hands. And that doesn’t include an additional $14 million in reimbursements from the federal government that he was already waiting for. He is unsure whether or when he will get paid.

Erin Boyd, a USAID nutrition adviser who was laid off from the agency in January, told CNN it is not an overstatement to say that children will die as a result of the decimation of USAID and funding for RUTF.

We’ve always fought over “where the money goes”.
But until now no one has ever made a true effort to find out where it REALLY does go. And that find is shocking.
What I can't believe is how anyone can object to demanding that OUR TAX MONEY is spent on things that are necessary to 1) this country and then 2) spent on necessary things for those less fortunate than us.
Why do so many people have a problem with that?
What happens to us, and the rest of the world, when our economy breaks down from all the debt we have accumulated?
So far, no one seems to want to address that elephant in the room.
