CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Right. God gives intelligence (the remnants of the fruit we ate in Eden in us), and Wisdom (the Salvation through the second Adam (Christ).

Wisdom is surely the highest form of intelligence ; worldly intelligence, a degradation of it. In heaven, there seems no reason to even suspect that the latter will not be freely available to everyone without limit; wisdom, on the other hand, would be a function of the love in our heart.
It seems that the brain is both a reducing valve and a kind of receiver, like a TV receiver. As a reducing- valve, in varying degrees, it filters out much of our spiritual awareness, so that we can survive in time. Otherwise, we would be forever contemplating the Beatific Vision and starve to death !
As a receiver, this article explains in what way :

Naturally, the materialist numbskulls maunder on that the theory is false, but from the experiment recounted, it is clear that the empirical evidence allows of no other possible conclusion. It is plainly the case : a kind of receiver.
Apart from brute survival, propitious and meritorious use of the worldy intelligence is effected when it serves the common good in a more genral way, i.e. to build a just Christian society, and render help to individuals, groups, etc..

Jewish sages discussing the antecedents to good behavior comment on how it is fear of the Lord, rather than great spiritual wisdom that is the better predictor of whether someone is going to sin or not.
