Does 'VICARIUS FILII DEI' exist and can '666' be applied to it?

If I recall correectly it was about 100 years ago that it was found that there was no tiara with those words on.

It was either the Review or Ministry magazine that said not to use it again. That was now close to 60 years ago.

It does not alter too much of what we believe. Just one point gone, still many left.

The definitive proof the title "Vicarius Filii Dei" on the pope's mitre or tiara might not be found. But there are numerous documents prove that indeed it is one of the pope's title. Nothing has changed.

You are incorrect. Read the original sources and you will find that the very one saying that no tiara not yet destroyed and still on display had the inscription on it was also the one who stated in the same article that he would write a later article proving that there once was such a tiara.

And I don't think there was a Review or ministry article that said not to use the idea again. What the Ministry article was concerned about was using a hypothetical drawing.
