Does this seem odd?

I have a small but very tight group of friends that I hang out with. We are, for all intensive purposes, good people. None of us smoke, do drugs, commit crimes, race, or drink (Regularly) we all have atleast halfway decent relationships with our parents, we get decent grades in school and dont really get into trouble. But ALL of us have had sex or currently have an active sex life.

I mean, we're all smart about it, but ALL of us have or have had an active sex life and granted that it was with a significant other, not just someone we met at a party or at the mall.

Does this seem a little strange to anyone else?

If I had wanted to start something, I could have done so FAR more easily than this. No, I truly belief that abstaining from sex untill marraige or completely is unhealthy. Sex wasnt designed to be put off untill some immaginary date. Our boddies are geared for sex. And as long as that sex is responsible, why should we worry about what age its had at?

I do find it odd that you posted this under "struggles by non-christians". Are truly struggling with this revelation? Or you coming around to something different?

I do not find this odd at all. It is normal for people to sin. Fornication is simply one of your sins of choice, whereas crime is not. It is abnormal for Christians to sin, which is why we must confess our sins and have victory over them. It's not easy. We struggle with this. I can see how when you look at this process from the outside, it appears to be mentally harmful. What it really is -- for Christians -- is war. War is not easy, and there is pain involved.

bless you in Christ,

Not strange at all. Sounds like my late teen/early twenties (except for the lack of smoking & drinking)

What part of the country are you in? ;)

I'm not surprised that some in the group are Christian. It's still abnormal - and by abnormal, I don't mean atypical -- I mean something more like malfunctioning. We are not created (or, rather, re-created) to sin. We are born into God's family to be holy, so that we can have fellowship with our Creator, who is holy. We still sin for one of two reasons - either we have not come to that point yet in the re-creation of our souls or we have chosen sin over fellowship with God.

blessings in Christ
