I often hear creationist claim commonality or similarities among the living is evidence for a single common (intelligent) designer/creator. However, I have a small problem to understand exactly how ID's scientific line of evidence works here.

You are equivocating Intelligent Design with biblical Creationism, ID has never denied evolution, they just infer design in creation.

I also agree with you if you support the assertion that the depository of relevant ideas by which we identify the ONE God (i.e. the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; Father of the the Son, Jesus the Messiah) is something we find exclusively in the Bible and nowhere else.
