7 or 8 people from all time? Seriously?
Bishop Garlington said that person (who was nationally known in their denomination) said they hoped they were one of them.

I would rather have this attitude, then the prevalent attitude of today: my salvation is sure.....I will continue to be a sinner saved by Grace.....I know what my end would be....because I read that if I do this and say that, I have to go to heaven.

There is a certain humility about the notion that few will make it and hoping that I could be one of the few. These are they who are less likely to have a list of works to read off to God, to justify their entrance into heaven, when they hear "depart"

If Jesus forgives murder, why does Paul and John in the Revelation say that murders won't have a place in God's Kingdom?

I believe murder can be forgiven, however, person can’t be murderer to enter God’s Kingdom. There must happen a change in person so that he is not anymore murderer (unrighteous), but righteous person.

Jesus answered him, "Most assuredly, I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can't see the Kingdom of God." Nicodemus said to him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb, and be born?" Jesus answered, "Most assuredly I tell you, unless one is born of water and spirit, he can't enter into the Kingdom of God! That which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Don't marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born anew.'

John 3:3-7

After that, person is no more unrighteous (murderer).

Moses was a murderer.
I wouldn't go that far. He killed an Egyptian, yes. Murder is an act of hatred. Because Moses thought he was delivering the people by his actions, I don't think Moses' action was an act of hatred. But then, the whole thing may have happened before Moses had any kind of relationship with the LORD.

Yes he does forgive murderers, but they must repent and live their life of sin.

If Jesus forgives murder, why does Paul and John in the Revelation say that murders won't have a place in God's Kingdom?

Lewis writes, wisely I believe, that in the end there are two kinds of people: those who say to God "Thy will be done." and those to whom God says, "Thy will be done."

Those on the outside, the murderers, the liars, the revilers, etc are not those who merely murdered, lied, and reviled in their life (because that's all of us). These are those who, when they stand before God insist on their own way--they haven't just murdered, they will to be murderers to the very end. It is who they are, it is what they wish to be. It is their grumble, their want to be the machine that goes on grumbling.

Two relevant quotes from C.S. Lewis' The Great Divorce:

"'Milton was right,' said my teacher. 'The choice of every lost soul can be expressed in the words "Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven." There is always something they insist on keeping, even at the price of misery. There is always something they prefer to joy--that is, to reality. Ye see it easily enough in a spoiled child that would sooner miss its play and its supper than say it was sorry and be friends.'"

"[Hell] begins with a grumbling mood, and yourself still distinct from it: perhaps criticizing it. And yourself, in a dark hour, may will that mood, embrace it. Ye can repent and come out of it again. But there may come a day when you can do that no longer. Then there will be no you left to criticize the mood, nor even to enjoy it, but just the grumble itself going on forever like a machine."
