Genesis 1:1
"IN the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."
John 1:1-3
"IN the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."
Perhaps an oversimplification, but where else in the Holy Bible does it mention He continues to create?
There are references to Him causing things such as:
He causes the plants to grow (Psalm 104:14; 1 Corinthians 3:6-7), but as I reflect on it, this is not creating, it's the results of His original creation.
I believe He created Adam and Eve and all other life on earth, but I believe it is through procreation and reproduction that life (animals and plants) continues to this day.
After all, when was the last time a new creation was discovered? I'm not talking about the discovery of some new species as this would only show that man has become aware of it, not that it is in any way new to the world.
Many questions we have about "Why did God..." could be explained as the result of original sin and man's interactions that are outside of God's plan. For instance:
Why do bad things happen to good people?
Why did my baby be born with no arms?
Why did this accident take the life of my sister?
Why must we fight wars? Why can't there be lasting peace?
Why do Homosexuals say they were born this way?
Why are there so many religions?
Why do people deny the existence of God?
And on and on.
My pert answer would be: MAN
My posting is meant to be serious and I would appreciate responses in this light, particularly from those whose knowledge and understanding of the Holy Bible are far greater than mine. From those that may not be biblically sound but have considered what I have written above and seek answers as well.
Thanks in advance.
