Was just listening to a song I know called "friend of the devil", and I began pondering on God's relationship with him. We know God allowed the devil to do certain things to Job, and we know Jesus never 'crushed him either while being tempted, or after his descention and before his resurrection.

...So what is God's relationship with the devil as far as we know?

Seems pretty obvious to me. The devil is a tool God uses for his own purposes. And the devil knows it and has to ignore it the best he can in order to continue to do what he can't help but do. He hates God, and does all he can to oppose him, knowing well that God is using him to accomplish his reason for creating us. Sin, and the father of lies, is part of God's plan for the end result.

No wonder the devil gnashes his teeth, in rage, frustration and despair.

Satan merely serves his temporary post, until being set aside forever in the LoF.

It's problematic to define what a spirit of disobedience is, the spirit of the antiChrist. Satan is antiChrist without any uncertainty. Yet all according to God's Plan and Desire:

Romans 11:
32 For God has bound everyone over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.
