  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

i was talking to my bf online today and he said, "It feels so right and so perfect right now. It's so strong I want to say it's a little helping hand from above, but that sounds slightly egotistical" and that got me to thinking.
Personally, i believe that if we allow Him to, God will gently try to guide our relations in the direction they should go. I was just wondering what you guys thought on this topic

My boyfriend inspires me every day, and our relationship has absolutely drawn me closer to God. I believe that God brought us together to draw me back into the fold. I have a long way to go in my spiritual journey, but had I never met my beau, I might never have turned in this direction.

I think this is a hard one and you probably won't know for sure until you look back. The best you can do is to stay true to the convictions God has given you and pray a lot. I felt that God had brought me and my ex-boyfriend together. We were so compatible, I had great peace with our relationship, and he was very upfront about wanting to be the father figure to my kids. It was just perfect. But then I shared some painful parts of my past with him and the wonderful, Christian man broke up with me and broke my heart. He also jumped into the relationship wholeheartedly and we were moving quickly towards marriage. So were we meant to be together and he was disobedient to God because of fear? I may never know the answer to that question.

I believe that God doesn't just have a hand in our relationships, but can actually determine the outcomes if we let them. Take my ex for instance. I thought that God had brought us together, and even though he turned out to be the king of jerks, I realize that I am not the same person now than I used to be. God wanted us together for that brief time for us to learn and grow. I believe that God brought my current boyfriend and I together for a reason, its just a matter of how long. I think that if we continue to put God first, then he will work miracles in our lives, one of which being a person to love. I may be a hopless romantic, but I cannot believe that God wants anyone to be alone. God is the ultimate matchmaker, and I'll believe that to the end of my days, no matter what happens.

I guide my own relationship. Though I suppose God might if I asked him to, I'd just rather do it myself.
It saddens me to hear that...please think about what you say...If God is in control...it'll go the àway it should...geez next time think and ask yourself...is God were in front of me (which he is) would I say I don't need you?!?! Im not being jugmental...but change your state of mind because your life on yourself...wont be that great if you put God aside!
I do believe that God guides our relationship...everyone says that fights among couples are normal...I don't think so...strong discussions lol yes but if God is the center it'll go the way HE and only HE planned it!

God bless
