  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Does God give visions?

God can give a vision to any one of us right? Not just Paul and the 3 Fatima Girls etc.? If He wanted too, could He give everyone of us a vision?
You believe that G-d gave a vision to 3 children in Fatima, but you wonder if He can do the same thing today? G-d can do it if He so wills at any time. In point of fact, we are told that He will do so in the last days.

Greetings Untilifindanewsn,

Satan can also present visions and dreams, so one must always confirm a personal revelation or vision or dream with the Word of God and perhaps discuss it with some good Christian counselors.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

Thank you for catching and mentioning this. I should have added that if/when G-d sends a believer a vision it will agree in all points with Scripture. This really needs to be said in this day where there is so much Charismatic Chaos invadng the Church. Satan's most effective means of deceiving is slipping a little error into 99% of Truth.

It wasn't really a vision of anything really. I just prayed for the first time one night when I was scared and my room lit up. Since then I have been a Christian. No one here would have reason to think that that was Satan, right? Cuz if it was, it was the stupidest thing that hes ever done! (sarcasm on) By the way if it was I gotta give him my thanx for comforting me that night and leading me to Christ...(sarcasm off)

Greetings Until...

There are several verses in the scriptures which would "confirm" your vision:

MOSES:
Exodus 3:2-4 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. 3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. 4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.

ELIJAH, MOSES & JESUS:
Luke 9:30-32 And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias: 31 Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem. 32 But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.

PAUL:
Acts 9:3-5 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: 4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? 5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

JOHN:
Revelation 1:12-17 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; 13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. 14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; 15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. 16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. 17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

If the result of your "vision" was to convert you to Christ, then that "conversion" experience can readily be backed up by the above verses.

Even though Satan can appear as "an angel of light", he also has come to kill, steal and destroy. Had Satan appeared to you "in a light" (which is not validated in the scriptures), he would have led you in the very opposite direction of where you are headed now.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie
