it says in the Bible that God disciplines those he loves. I'm not sure if he's doing this to me or even at all. . .I'm not sure what's going on really anymore. Either he's punishing or he isn't.
Discipline or more accurately "correction" in not the same as a curse.
When a loving parent wants to correct a childs behavior they
speak the words of correction in love to the child and REASON
with them and explain the good and the bad of obedieance
and rebellion.
If the child continues to rebel the THEY will suffer the results of their own actions.
I like the stove example...God says: "don't touch the stove"
(don't sin) and then it is up to us to obey or rebel and the results will
be determined by our own actions.
God doesn't tell us not to touch the stove (sin) and when we do
he runs us over with a steam roller.(curse)
We suffer as Christians when we sin because WE walk away from God
and we feel the effects of our loss of relationship with our Heavenly Father.
The devil is the one who will bring curses upon us when we take ourselves
out from under God's protection when we choose sin over obedieance
to God and His plan for our lives.
God is good.
The devil kills, steals and destroys.
God is love.
The devil is hate.
God cannot lie.
The devil is the father of all lies.
God is sinless and holy.
The devil is evil.
God is our healer.
The devil brings sickness and disease.
(Jesus cast out demons and people were healed)
God is our source of all blessing.
The devil is the one who brings curses.
God sets us free in Christ.
The devil bring bondage and slavery.
God offers us eternal life.
The devil is headed for eternal death.
I could go on but you get the idea...
Stop believing that the devil is God in disguise and receive
the truth of who God is as revealed by the life and teachings of
Jesus Christ who is Lord.
