Strange he says:D If your intention isn't to deplete the viewership of FOx news then what is it? I would hope you have some actual point other than to constantly remind everyone how much you dislike the so-called 'Faux News'.

The overarching reason is to see the ostensible connections between the media, our elected officials, and corporations. All three share incestous relationships thriving off our collective apathy and ignorance in regards to the actions of our government at home and abroad.

Millions of people tune into FN based on the belief they are being told the "news" through an unfiltered process of "letting them decide" because how the information is reported has a close affinity with objectivity, or as close as humanly possible. This feeds the egos of its audience as well as the eternal hunger of the Nationalists' stomach for reinforcement of a pre-disposed world ethos centered on the premise the US is the greatest nation the world has ever, or will ever witness. Moreover, the premise the US can do no wrong even when it makes mistakes that are undeniable to the CharltonRushOreillyHannityHestons, because we had "noble" intentions.

Why would any media outlet go to such lengths? It's really a very simply equation and there exists an ostenible connectivity to the situation.

1. Bush admin stated publicy in 2000 it wanted to invade Iraq regardless if Saddam was in rule and whether or not Iraq had wmds.

2. Media outlets seriously aid said administration by feeding into the 9/11 fang fears of many Americans whom have become falsely united on the basis of reeling from terrorist attacks.

3. American public is ignorant of #1 and does not dig any deeper than what #2 tells them...this leads us into #3. Garner support for the invasion of other nations from the public via any means possible. Lie, deceive, or even manufacture threats that never existed.

Murdoch has already admitted Fox Mews did its best to shape the agenda for Iraq. Now, any rational and Patriotic person should realize they cannot trust FN and that the livelihood of our troops should trump any loyalty some may have to a media outlet. Unfortunately, Nationalism is stronger than many give credit for and people will continue to believe Fox Mews because it makes them feel better about being an American. In fact, none of the major media outlets show us the hard realites of Iraq...they would instead tell us more about Ann Nicoles' posthumous legal battles because we all know how much more the outcome of those proceedings will effect us more profoundly than the outcome of invading nations based on greed, lies, deception, and malice.

For all those who believe in the "liberal media" conspiracy theory, here's a chunk of info to chew on.

Specifically, read pp. 13-16 or so. All the major outlets supported the Bush admin's lies for invading Iraq.

One more thing to boot....Murdoch owns FN as well as The Weekly Standard (not to mention hundreds of other outlets. Fred Barnes and Billy Kristol are founding members of the PNAC and can be seen daily on FN....Kristol is the editor for WS. Just an accident? Gee....
