That depends on your definition of salvation. Water baptism may enable you membership in a church but it does not guarantee eternal life.

Ephesians 2:8
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.

No external ritual can universally guarantee eternal life.

The only thing that guarantees salvation is endurance to the end. Baptism is the beginning of that. But Ephesians 2:8 has nothing to do with baptism. It speaks directly to the conduct of the Ephesians prior to their baptism and explains that salvation is not a reward for anything they may have done previously. Someone could keep the law perfectly, not keep the law at all, do some great thing with their life, or do some evil thing in their life and they are treated equally regarding entering into salvation.

Ephesians 2:1-7.
Thanks for the reference. This is how to do referencing in a scholarly manner:
  1. Display and indent the quoted text.
  2. Selectively bold the relevant keywords that are important to the point that you are making. No need to bold the entire sentence. Have a laser-sharp focus.
  3. Be concise and precise to the point. No need to quote the whole chapter.
This is what I do for others who read my posts. It is a standard high-school scholarship. If you practice this, I guarantee you: it will improve your analytical thinking. In any case, no one is required to do it :)

There is a Baptism and there is confirmation. Usually it is confirmation that people become a member of a church. The Baptism is a dedication in a lot of churches.

Confirmation is often seen as a sacrament or rite of passage that signifies a deeper commitment to the Christian faith. It is typically administered to individuals who were baptized as infants and are now old enough to publicly affirm their faith and become full members of the church.

In some Christian circles, child dedication is a practice where parents bring their children to a place of worship to dedicate them to God's care and guidance. This practice is often seen in Protestant traditions and emphasizes the parents' commitment to raising their children in a godly way.

I asked a Priest once about people who join a church that really do not accept the teaching of that church. He felt they were just being dishonest with themselves and they do not try to weed those people out.

Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV): "Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'"

No, because we are all baptized in our mother's womb, before being "born again," in the world today, the fourth day of the Creation You, are judged according to your works, according tp Revelation 22:14-15, regarding John 13:34 KJV ONLY!
So, love well, it is all you will have. Well, that and your works!
