Dear LinuxUser. Perhaps Jesus saw this coming, and made it easier and simpler for us to read and to understand and follow? God gave us His Ten Commandments, ( loving advice to us) and Jesus gave us two Commandments: and the two which Jesus gave us contain All what God gave us in His Ten Commandments. In Matthew, chapter 22, verse 35-40, Jesus tells a Lawyer: " The first and great Commandment is: Love God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and love thy neighbour as thyself." Then Jesus states this fact: " On these two Commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." That is easy enough for us to remember, and Jesus will give us His Love and Joy, and the Holy Spirit will give us His Love, too. Jesus told us: " Ask and ye will receive." Then we thank God and share all Love and Joy with our neighbour. Paul tells us in 1) Corintians, chapter 13, verses 4-8, what Love is, and what God wants from us. Not only a good feeling, God wants us to change from being selfish and unloving to becoming loving and caring, helping and forgiving. God is Love, and God wants loving children/sons and daughters. God will see our sincere efforts to love all we know and all we meet, as we love ourselves, and God will approve and bless us. God will also know that we love Him, because we follow His Commandments to love. We will stumble and fail often perhaps, but we will get up and carry on: we will ask God`s Forgiveness, and God will forgive us as we will forgive those who transgress/sin against us. Jesus our Saviour is waiting to lead us back to God where we came from. Love is the Key to God`s Kingdom, and love will carry us home. We have years to become the children our Heavenly Father wants, and Jesus is our Way. The Love God wants from us: selfless and sincere. I say this with love, LinuxUser. Greetings from Emmy, your sister in Christ.
