  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Does anyone think they will go to hell?

The whole point of the law, was to show that as men who have inherited a sin nature, we are naturally inclined to sin, and do evil. Jesus said even just looking at a man or a woman in lust, is equal to the sin of adultery. All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God.
No one can keep the law and do it perfectly. That is why is Jesus Christ is so important.
Being fully God and fully man, he achieved what no man can do on their own, and that is to completly fulfill God's Will 100%.
Jesus has taken on the sins of the world, and it is through Him only, that we too can fulfill God's Will and be saved. Yes, we are still supposed to live a holy life according to what is layed out for us in the Bible. This shouldn't create an excuse for us to do as we please.
