Does anyone here speak Mandarin?

I'm learning Mandarin and I was wondering if anyone who was fluent in it could help me out. Sort of like a pen pal/tutor. Unfortunately, my computer doesn't support any non-romanized characters. So I'm also wondering if there is a program out there that will let me do that.

If you have your Windows disc, you can install the characters for any language that you choose.

I can read more characters every day though! Just not in the Mandarin tongue.

I think you can go www.njstar.com (something like that) and download NJStar Communicator............or else just go google and search for it. It'll enable your computer to read and write chinese of course, u must install the characters onto ur com first.......just go to a chinese website like (www.baidu.com or www.sohu.com) then i think a pop up should come up asking you to install.

Don't worry about it. I'm not even trying to learn Mandarin. I'm learning Japanese. It just so happens that being able to read Chinese is a by-product of that.
