  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm 35 and just got married...my husband is 42. We've never been married and we're finding we both fit well into each other's lives. I moved to NY from PA, moved further from my family and friends and haven't really met any new friends here, but that's ok because I'm super close to the friends I do have and can maintain a relationship. My husband is the only one I truly care to spend time with other than those friends I've had for years. Not interested in adding too many new people into my life unless they are little people....:p

I live a pretty simple life and so does he. We're both pretty much loners and we spend enough time individually to keep my sanity.

I don't see what the big deal is. We're both finding that married life for us isn't all that different from being on our own except we have a roommate. We're not finding too many difficulties and we both anticipated loads because of our ages.

If someone is not willing to allow someone else into their life and are not willing to allow change into their life, then maybe marriage isn't realistic for them. If they want to be married, then they need a little more flexibility in their life.

It wouldn't be very difficult for me to adjust to my dbf's lifestyle when we marry someday as we're pretty much into the same thing. We're both homebodies and rather spend a quiet evening in than going out to a club or such.

I met him online when I was 28. We were friends for quite awhile before we realized we did indeed love each other.

You sound like me - homebody - but I just like to go on little adventures too once in a while. That being said, I don't know how I'd ever meet anyone... in my living room? LOL.. J/k I know the Lord will provide what ever/ whomever I need... including the desire to compromise... it's just difficult to see myself compromising because it's such a hypothetical right now.

You make it work just like the Brady Bunch :D

As for me, I think it is an advantage being my age because I am a helluva lot more mature and yet still don't take myself too seriously. I have values and convictions that I won't compromise nor will I tolerate others who don't share my line of thinking (as in a romantic partner).

Since I understand myself a whole lot more than I did when I was younger, I know what I want out of life and out of a person that I would consider being with seriously.
