Does any one draw?

I love to draw. I'm a cartoonist I guess you could say, although I love drawing realism as well. My style represents a lot of the graphic novels out there, and even some Disney.

My main focus is on people and animals.

I draw a lot but I'm not particularly good but I'm ok I guess. I think I could be good if I practiced a lot more though. I don't have anything recent and done real well on the computer really cause I don't have a scanner anymore but I have a few old stuff I've done as well as a few pictures I've taken of more recent stuff I could post if I had a higher post count

I do have like 2 things uploaded on my deviant art I think though. I haven't updated my deviant art in years though so this stuff is all old and I'm better than what's on there now but anyway... it's forsakenscarecrow.deviantart.com if you wanna check out a couple of what I've done before (the bottom picture I did not draw... it was just a color test when I was learning a new program).

I wanted to be a cartoonist and I love manga and comic book art (but I hate actually reading comicbooks/manga... I just flip through ones that have great artists to look at all the art).

I am new here so sorry if I am akward...

I used to draw when I was younger. I went through long studies and then had my kids, now they are at school and I am learning what to do with myself!!

Doing a hobby is maybe good for me? Can anyone here help me to get started again: what shall I draw? Is it also good to copy something, e.g. horse or manga or does it need to be 100 percent creative and original.

Does drawing help avoid depression you think?

Is religious drawing helping even more?

Hi ShinySunny ! good to talk to You on another Forum! Do You remember what You liked to draw when You were Young? You mentioned some Religious drawing Perhaps of the "praying Hands" to start Or something very basic but truley moving like The three Empty crosses on Golgotha with a sunset behind , there is one in the Youths room at Our Church , a mural , done by a very talented Young woman in Our congregation. Yes, I usually draw every day. I will admit to having flirted with animesque styles, as well as fan art, but really, I'd love to be able to master realism as a style. I started messing around on Photoshop from a fairly young age (9 - 10) and now I'm aspiring to be a digital artist. I'm actually considering making a career out of it, some day - I certainly believe myself to be capable. On the topic of confidence in our abilities, I would like to say that I have a reasonably high level of skill for my age, but I'm a very long way from being considered an exceptional artist by the adult art community.
