CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If we don't get a lot of it (I live on the front rage of the rockies) then I'm at least happy that I can drive 10 minutes to a winter wonderland!

I would really like a snowy winter.. it is so pretty.. so I want a lot of it atleast once to where people are trapped inside their homes(as long as I am not stuck at my house). Only reason for wanting that is, it snows and then people go out and drive and it makes it look very ugly!!

Snow is an annoying mess. I lived for 4 years with lake-effect snow. I know what its like to have to clean the pile of snow off your car every morning before going to class or work. I know what its like to drive by hundreds of accidents on the highways, or to slide off the road and get stuck. The snow might look nice for a few hours but then it turns black and dirty. Cars rust to pieces with the salt necessary to melt the icy roads. Its awful! I grew up in California, and as far as I'm concerned, winter isn't winter without rain and really thick fog. There, if you really want snow, you can drive up to the mountains for the day, and come home, without having to deal with the mess.

Bring on the snow! I can't wait for skii season to start! And the beach is really pretty when it's covered in snow, makes for good photos and romantic walks on the boardwalk

In Naples Florida they blow soapflakes around for their Christmas festival, hehe! It can snow as much as they like and no one has to drive in it!

My opinion is this: Why not want something that will keep you home from school? Bring on the blizzard! I've never seen one...but I know it will keep me home!

I absolutely love the snow! It is really wild that here in the Anchorage Bowl we still do not have any snow on the ground. We had a freak snow at the end of Sept of 6 inches. Now there is nada. My poor studs on my car... 
Snow is in the 5 day forecast... I am hopeful.
We bought a ski pass for my family and I am ready to hit the slopes and also do some cross-country skiing as well. Let it snow, let is snow, let is snow!

I love snow. Its amazing to see snow when I have to get up for school....Since it's early in the morning, the snow is usually untouched. Its beautiful. Then of course is the great surprise of day off school.
