  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yes. But it is human beings whom we date, fall in love with, marry, and be physically intimate with. So that maxim doesn't really help those of us who are considered unattractive by those whom we wish to attract. The only thing that helps in that case is adjusting one's priorities so one doesn't see a relationship with a member of the opposite sex as the end-all and be-all of life.

I taught Esther last night to my woman's small group and this issue was brought up. Now of course I am going to say thing as a woman and from that persepctative but it applies to men as well.

We should remember that our outside appearance means nothing. We are princesses to God and thus we are beautiful in His eyes. We are robed in richness and he sees nothing but the beauty He created. What Joe Blow down the street thinks of you is nothing compared to how God thought about how He was going to make you to glorify Him.
