Also, take note that most people, including myself, don't believe animals even need to be saved by accepting Jesus as humans do - because it was only humans who fell!ChrisWinston said:Hi. When I read your post I just had to make the following comment and please don't take it personally for I can completely understand wanting comfort when a loved one dies whether it be human or a cherished animal (pet.) To say you believe pets go to heaven "for no other reason than it brings me comfort" is not very healthy, i don't think. Now I'm not claiming to be correct in everything I write and my opinion can be swayed if it's off somehow but compare your statement to this: "I believe my friend's death was just an accident and not suicide for no other reason than it brings me comfort" when in reality it was suicide (that's fictional but it could be true for someone.) It would be nice to think a lot of things to bring comfort but it's important to always think what's true or false. Is it true that pets go to heaven? I can't believe so for the sake of comfort, but I can hope so. There are many Christians who believe yes and many who will tell you no. Who's right? I don't know. I mean how can an animal accept Christ as Lord and Savior? There's a world of stuff we don't know about animals... maybe they can!? Then again why would animals not go to heaven? What have they done wrong? Okay, some kill humans but when that happens it's not like a human killing a human, animals kill because of instinct. Even humans who kill but confess their sins and accept God into their lives can be allowed in Heaven. Saddam Hussein can actually get to Heaven! Wow!! If those types of people can then why shouldn't beloved pets!? Animals as pets more often than not bring people comfort by being a loyal and faithful friend. Why would they be subjected to spend eternity either in hell or just cease to exist?! Why would God not want us to reconnect with our beloved pets in Heaven?
P.S. Good news! After typing the above I went back and skimmed through this whole thread and found some interesting posts. Unfortunately I don't have time to copy and paste and quote a whole lot but I can point out to you Message #'s 75-80 and many after that. Anywhere people start citing scripture pay attention because apparantly the Bible does indeed have answers! WOOHOOO!!! I think I'm gonna do myself a favor and study up on this later today!
Yeah I was laughing real hard, most of what I saw from was just plain impossible or was easily seen in the behavior of the animal. I suppose I really only saw a few but when looking at the dogs and hearing the owners I could have come up with the same things, or blown some of her claims out of the water, all through knowledge of behavior and health symptoms. And I am not an animal psychic. Some the things she said I'm sure were said only because that's what the owner wanted to hear.Blackhawk said:Did anyone see that pet psychic that animal planet had awhile ago? She made john Edwards look like Jeremiah or something. I thought that show was hilarious though.

What about this versedevoted daughter said:Eccl 3:19-20 For the fate of humans and the fate of animals is the same; as one dies, so dies the other. They all have the same breath, and humans have no advantage over the animals;for all is vanity. All go to one place:...
Psalm 104:12
Beside them the birds of the heavens dwell; they sing among the branches.
Job 12:7
"But ask the beasts, and they will teach you; the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you;
I can't imagine any existence without them.

And Job 12:7 is refering to living animals, not whether or not they have spirits or where they are destined to go.NKJV Eccl 3:21 said: Who knows the spirit of the sons of men, which goes upward, and the spirit of the animal, which goes down to the earth?

Thank you for digging out these scriptural references DD. I dearly miss my old Dalmation "Blaze", and these words are most comforting.devoted daughter said:Eccl 3:19-20 For the fate of humans and the fate of animals is the same; as one dies, so dies the other. Eternity is a very looooong time. Perhaps Jesus and his prophets will want an occasional break from us. That will give us time to play with our pets.Besides, you won't care anyway once you see the Lord and run to Him in excitement. Spending time with Jesus and the prophets of old will take up all of your time.
