Do you think snakes are evil?

We've all heard of the snake in the garden of eden. We all know that whenever the serpent is mentioned in the bible, it is in a negative tone. But are snakes evil? Personally, I think they rock. I even have one, and it is so cute and friendly. I would really like to hear what you have to say on this topic. I would also like for you to tell us if you are afraid of snakes, and if so,why.

Snakes themselves are not evil, it was what was posessing the snake in Genesis that was evil.

I personally love snakes and currently have 2, a hypomelanistic cornsnake and some kind of weird kingsnake. She's either an aberrant golden-yellow california kingsnake, a jungle corn which is a cal king/cornsnake hybrid or a kingsnake/milksnake hybrid. They're very awesome animals

I don't think snakes are evil. Lots of them are beautiful creatures, too! But personally, I don't want a snake anywhere near me (unless it's something like a garter snake or it's behind glass at a zoo) and I'm not so fond of the whole feeding them live mice thing, lol. Guess I like mice to much! But no, snakes are not evil imo.

I think snakes are misunderstood. I don't think their evil, But I don't like them. I find them creepy.(no offense meant. Its just my personal opinion)

I agree completely. The snake in Genesis was evil. Snakes in general are actually quite friendly.I don't have one but I like them. : D

Nah, you don't feed them live mice

Feeding live is dangerous and is a health risk. Most people who are educated and care feed prekilled, frozen prey (thawed out of course!). You can easily order prekilled mice from reptile supply stores online and some petstores even supply them.

I don't like seeing them in the wild. In that format yes, they scare me. If someone has one as a pet and I know it's tame, then that's a different story.

I used to go out herping, searching for snakes and lizards.

You'd be amazed at how quickly a wild one will tame down after handling it for a few minutes. Only exceptions have been gophersnakes, which can be pretty nasty. But even they only take a day or two.

I don't like snakes since where I live, poisonous ones are close by in all wilderness and tall grass potentially. We've had non-poisonous ones (thankfully) in our yard very frequently, and those don't really bother me. I don't believe they are all satanic, but I don't want to be bitten by any. I also don't like all kinds of animals, insects, predators, some of them are even the human kind ( just at Walmart today 2 guys were vulgarly threatening to "wanna take this outside?" right in front of my tiny son for no real reason, violence is everywhere). anyway, I am thankful God offers hope of all things new in His time and when we will be able to be with lions and wolves and sheep all together and they eat grass and let kids play with them, that is a nice thought

I don't think they are evil. I have held snakes a few times and didn't like the feel of them moving on me, but other than that, I like them.

Of course snakes aren't evil. Animals aren't evil. They are just animals.
