I love to sing & I sing in church quite often. I just want to know if any of you sing in church or if you sing just for fun. If you do sing in church what was your favorite song that you sang???

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I used to sing in dinner theatres! Last performance I "brought the house down", lol! As for as Gospel music is concerned, my favorites change frequently. My current fav is "Because He Lives"

I have two favorite songs I have sang in church & that is "On My Knees" & "Adonai" Those are my favorites so far.

Ah yes to sing in church where my voice can be masked by the many others Now if it was just me singing I might be needing to hand out some earplugs before I get started

Do you sing???
Well, yeah. By myself, usually. I really love singing; I love music. But few people know that. Oops. :o :o :o I guess I don't say that in "real life" because I fear people will expect an impromtu performance.
I took a voice class for fun last fall. One of the songs I sang was Be Thou My Vision, one of my favorite hymns. We had to sing 3 songs. The first one was chosen by the teacher, and I was panicking and running out of breath. Yet he gave me a 95% for the performance for all 3 of them. I dunno.

My husband is the Worship leader at our church, he plays guitar and we sing together on the Worship Band...I really enjoy it.

I just walked in the door from Chorale rehearsal. Working overtime for Easter season! It's a lot of work, but a privilege I never take lightly.

Choir is doing a cantata/drama, "The Borrowed Tomb". I'm co-directing that.
Chorale is rehearsing for Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday - 2 songs.

Of course I love to sing. Some of my favorite songs are "let my words be few", "amazing love", "I can only imagine", "God of wanders", "shout to the lord", and many, many more!

I used to sing in choir...but it's hard for me to get to rehearsals due to my work schedule. I loved singing in it though. And I miss it terribly. I'm going to miss it the most on Sunday when our choir performs their Palm Sunday contata....it'll be the first one I haven't been a part of in 8 years.
Hmmm...my favorite song to sing was Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Pie Jesu." I sang it with another really great soprano in my choir (who's moved down south somewhere). It was challenging and fun to sing at the same time.
