Our neighbors across the street were the first people in town to get satellite television. The satellite dish in the back yard was at least 12 feet across. It was a real mystery when the neighbors saw it going up.

Remember when packages and bottles did not have all those tamper resistant seals? You could buy a jar of mayonnaise or ketchup or peanut butter and open it up without having to peel off layers of plastic and foil and cardboard and whatnot.

Remember the first handheld calculators? They were about an inch thick, did just the basic functions, had lights instead of LCD, and cost like 150 dollars.

I was just talking about those on Friday! I remember my dad got one of those in college. It was an old TI and had those red numbers and the buttons made a loud *click* when you pushed them.

I was given tickets to go see them here about a year ago.It was a very small venue but they put on a great show.I really don't even like them much.
