  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Just wondering, and I'm not sure if this has been discussed/posted somewhere else, but does anyone actually take the time to read the EULA (End User License Agreement) that you are forced to agree with?

Honestly, if they have over 10 paragraphs with text that is underlined, bold, capitalized, and justified, then I'd probably pass. Unless it looks like this (and I know that that is just an overview of the full license) or is fairly short then I'd take the time to read it. But I'd read the license if I was unsure of what my rights are.

That's why I like open source software as you get none of this rubbish.

I would say read the EULA in full as I know some have a clause stating that they can legally enter your premises without authorisation to audit systems if they suspect illegal use of their software etc...

Now, if you are illegally using software which they manufacture then tough. But, if you are 100% legal and their audit bullies storm you one day then it's going to be potentially damaging to your business and/or reputation if word gets around that you got raided.
