  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I picked "No, I do not play paintball but I would like to".

I have never had the money or opportunity to be frank but I would love to inflict pain on people (....don't worry thats a joke :p). Have always been a tomboy so paintball is definately something that seems exciting to me.

I have played a few times, kind of enjoyed it. I enjoyed the idea of it mainly. I dislike how the paintball markers(guns) are so hard to hit anything with. You are way better off to just "spray and pray" unless you invest in a really good paint marker. Even still they don't have the range of a real firearm. I view Paintball like playing "war" for grown ups, its fun but the paintball weapons make it more unrealistic in the fact that you have to be within like 30 meters to hit someone...

But its pretty fun just for the heck of it!

I play paintball occasionally.. not very often due to the cost.

I have a tippmann 98 custom w/ a flatline barrel.. which was the biggest waste of money ever. When I use the flatline.. it's unable to shoot fast enough to break on people. I remember hitting a guy probably 10-15 times from 30-40 feet away.. nothing broke on him...
They have a good paintball place at this millitary base near where I live, so whenever I play.. I go there

I have the exact same setup, a Tippmann 98 Custom with a Flatline, and it is the best setup I could ask for. You might check your O-rings and all your connections. Did you get the gun new from the store, or from a second-hand dealer (like a private citizen)? That can make a difference if the gun was previously owned.

You might consider taking it to a paintball store airsmith and seeing if they can tweak the PSI for you; that makes a difference as well. I actually had to dial my pressure down because it was beyond legal limits (and it REALLY hurt when I shot myself with it).

Then again, it could just be a matter of different strokes for different folks, which is fine. Just thought I'd throw out my $0.02 in case you hadn't thought of something.

I bought the gun new from a store. They even replaced a spring, or w/e the part is, that determines what speed your gun is able to shoot at (and no, i don't mean the bolt that you twist to adjust it). I just gave up after that.. the new spring allowed my gun to shoot around 250-260 fps, but even that wasn't enough to break on people. I switched back to the stock barrel for a while, but now my brother is letting me use this really nice 14" barrel (j&j brand i think..). It's really nice, so i'll just stick with it for now :p

My first post here :) - sorry if this is a bit necro.

I used to captain a tournament team and guest coached another for a while. I don't play these days because, basically, God has put me in a situation where I don't get to (completely worth it) but I'd still love to get back into the tournament scene one day.

Over on PBNation, which is just for paintball but happens to be the biggest sports forum in the world, we have a club called Christ Krew - a group of Christian paintballers.

We also have a facebook group :)

Meh I can't link. You'll just have to take my word for it, or google if you're interested.
