I have a questoin. Does evolution take into consideration the miracle power of God? Let me give you a nonexclusive example. Look at Darwin's Finches. It is believed when the islands were formed that a wind came along and blew the Finches out to the islands from the mainland. Now does the theory of evolution allow it to be possible that maybe God or an "intellegent designer" caused that wind to blow those finches out to those islands. Do they really think that things like this happen all by themselves, without any intervention from God?
If you think that things like this "just happen" without God being a part of it, then do not be surprised if people consider evolution to be atheistic. Because that is exactly what it would be, if God was not in some way a part of the equation. Even IF the universe were a big wind up toy, and God set it all up from the very beginning and He is just letting it play itself out. Although most christians do believe that God takes a active part in daily events. So that creation or if you want "evolution" is a on going project for Him. In fact some people believe that God is a part of every tiny little intricate detail. So as to cause all things to work out according to His plan and purpose.
