  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Do You Love Him?

THE POEM

I knelt to pray but not for long,

I had too much to do.

I had to hurry and get to work

For bills would soon be due.

So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,

And jumped up off my knees.

My duty was now done

My soul could rest at ease.

All day long I had no time

To spread a word of cheer.

No time to speak of Christ to friends,

They'd laugh at me I'd fear.

No time, no time, too much to do,

That was my constant cry,

No time to give to souls in need

But at last the time, the time to die.

I went before the Lord,

I came, I stood with downcast eyes.

For in his hands God held a book;

It was the book of life.

God looked into his book and said

"Your name I cannot find.

I once was going to write it down...

But never found the time"

I pray that we never get too busy..:)

Actually, I was at that point not so long ago. I got knocked down and slowed way down. At first I was anrgy, now I'm grateful. As soon as I started to be thankful for what I've learned things started to change. Now I'm slowly working my way back to life as normal but it will never be like that again. So glad He loved me enough to reach out to me in such a way! Praise God!!

I've been there too RJ1. I was in a hole so black I thought I might as well just die. But God had other plans for me...:)

That's a terrifing thought. But it would be our own fault. If we are too busy for GOd, it would serve us right that He is too busy for us.
Thank you God, that you are never too busy for us, that you hear our prayers even though we feel there are more needy people in line. YOu are an amazing GOd and loving God - Thank you for your grace and mercy.

 :prayer: I Love God so much I would die die for him.
I feel the same way. I told Him that one night. I got this whisper in my heart that said, that's wonderful but you have to do something much harder, you have to live for Me. It completely blew me away. That one quiet moment literally changed my life.

I think that this should be the changing point for many. Many of us would declare that we would die for God, but how many of us are actually willing to live for Him? It almost seems easier to die - but to live is Christ - it is so much harder to live in a world that may condemn you then to leave it behind. It's hard to stay strong when it seems much easier to just give up.
