We all do. The world calls this
The Halo Effect.
Basically, attractive people are often perceived and treated much better than those considered less attractive in daily life.[1][2][3]
The fact that God rebuked one of His own prophets for making this same mistake speaks volumes about us as fallen human beings:
~1 Samuel 16:4-7 (NIV)
Bible Gateway passage: 1 Samuel 16 - King James Version
Bible Gateway passage: 1 Samuel 16 - New King James Version
Bible Gateway passage: 1 Samuel 16 - New International Version
Bible Gateway passage: 1 Samuel 16 - International Children’s Bible
American serial killer, Ted Bundy, stood out from the other serial killers because of his good looks and charming personality. Bundy was well aware of these traits and exploited them to gain the trust of his victims, while portraying himself either as a vulnerable person or an authority figure.

Here are my questions:
Did anyone ever feel uncomfortable when a scruffy looking man in tattered clothing approached you for whatever reason? Why or why not?
What about a person from an ethnic minority group considered problematic by mainstream society? Why or why not?
If an attractive person, especially of the opposite gender, approaches you for whatever reason, what is your most common reaction? Would it be the same if that person was not so attractive? Why or why not?
There are people who become internet celebrities simply for being attractive, such as Alex from Target
[7][8] and the Ridiculously Photogenic Guy.
[9][10] Why do you think that is? How would the internet react if they were considered unattractive? What does this say about our human nature?
Is any of this fair? Why or why not?
Are you offering God a service by giving preferential treatment towards whom society deems desirable in any way? Why or why not? Please read the following Bible passages before answering: 1 Corinthians 1:26-31, James 2, 1 Peter 3:1-7.
