Over thirty-seven years ago, a man had an encounter with God that changed his life forever. In an instant, he realized he had become a modern-day Pharisee, trusting in his own goodness instead of receiving God's grace by faith. For the first time, he saw his performance mentality clearly, and he expected God's wrath to fall. Instead, a supernatural love of God flowed over him that changed his life.

His name is Andrew Wommack, the founder of Andrew Wommack Ministries and Charis Bible College. Today, he continues as he has for nearly four decades, traveling throughout America and the world fulfilling the vision God placed in his heart: to teach the truth of the Gospel to the body of Christ with special emphasis on God's unconditional love and the balance between grace and faith. He does this because he knows that the message the Lord has given him will change the way the body of Christ relates to God.

Andrew understood that even with radio and television, his ability to deliver this message would always be limited. It would take more than one messenger. Therefore, in 1994, a cornerstone in the fulfillment of the vision was set in place when he founded Charis Bible College. Paul told Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:2, "The things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also." Andrew is doing just that through CBC, equipping the saints for the work of the ministry. Equal attention is given to academics and the practical application of this knowledge in ministry. They learn the Word of God and receive on-the-job training with seasoned ministers.

Early in his ministry, Andrew began recording meetings and radio programs on audio cassettes for distribution. He remembered the promise he had made to God at a time in his life when Jamie and he could not afford to buy tapes they desperately needed-the promise to make his tapes available without charge to anyone who genuinely could not afford them. Andrew continues to honor that promise today, the ministry has now distributed over 5 million free teaching tapes (and CD's).

Hello!

I like him as I said on the other thread - everything I have ever heard has helped open the Bible to me and explain scripture in a way that I could not achieve through simply reading it alone....I think he is sincere and his messages seem to me to be both biblical and God inspired. He makes me think - which is great - and he challenges me without me making me feel threatened which is just what I need.

Given all that I am surprised at your decision to make this a non debating thread - I would have thought that someone like Andrew Wommack would stand up to debate - I see him very much as a man of integrity - and I find it hard to think that anyone could say much against him - but this new thread banning debate makes me suddenly suspicious.....what is there to hide?

As for the comments from "His" - I'd ignore them - he obviously just enjoys winding people up. Don't feel bad about his posts - as my mother used to say "It's not big, it's not clever and it's certainly not funny." Amen.

Look out for all the straw men out there. As I have stated I like him. So go ahead victor throw your stones it's all good.

But he totally teaches against most of the stuff you believe. That's all. So what is it that you like about him? His personality? It can't be his doctrine.

And where have all the posts from "His" gone? I didn't agree with what he said....but find it odd that all his posts have disappeared - what is going on here?

I reported "His" posts and they were removed.

There is nothing to hide about Andrew Wommack. I simply did not want this to become a bunch of ridiculous comments from people who have never even heard Andrew's teaching before. I know that "religious" people can sometimes act like that.

Let's keep this a positive discussion. I simply wanted to find out how many people listen to him and maybe hear about some good things that people have learned through his ministry.

I personally believe that Andrew teaches grace and faith with outstanding balance. It's very hard to find someone who does that these days. Normally people are all about faith or all about grace.

As Andrew says, "Faith is our positive response to God's grace"

It's one step at a time. I have been were he is at. The foundation is Christ and that's all good. As he talks I listern and hear him say things that are not far from what I knew before God blow the roof off. Now can he state what I state here and stay on TV. I don't think so. But if you only knew all the main line preacher that hit a web site I know about to get information on All in All salvation you would be shocked (over 5000 main line preacher in one month). Can they preach it NO! Are they learning about it YES. You see victoryword I don't need the money and I don't care if they (people) come or don't come. The ones God want's there will be there and those are the ones that matter.

Not very meaty! More of a milky preacher which is fine for younger spiritually immature Christians

You obviously haven't listened to much of his teaching.

I've been born-again for almost 14 years now and have listened to hundreds of preachers. I've also listened to over 500 hours of Andrew's sermons and audio commentaries and I can tell you that his teaching is full of "meat".

Check out his Bible commentary. He's one of the only charismatic preachers to ever publish a commentary. Just the Gospels edition is over 600 pages. Hours and hours of study have been put into single verses of Scripture. It's not just "milk".
