CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I hate the fact that they underestimate their audience. The Third Age was awful because they thought that action fans couldn't handle a true RPG. Their sports games are good though and you really can't argue against the Sims.

I am not a fan of EA. They snubed Dreamcast, majority of their games suck (they have gotten better), they are looking to corner the market on sports games, and I get a cocky vibe from them. I really like Fifa though, they do the right.

For the mostpart they're a publisher... For instance, they don't make the Battlefield series. DICE develop BF, EA publishes the game. Although the way EA is going they'll try and buy out every developer anyway... while they overwork their staff for no compensation.

I think EA is just a bunch of punks. They are like the mafia of video game publishing. They treat their game companies like garbage and stick it to the customer. Google the dark side of EA and you'll find lots of stuff on them. I used to play Ultima Online (5+years) and Earth and Beyond (6mos) so if you ever played those games that were constantly being developed under the heavy hand of EA, you'd know what I'm talking about. I try hard to steer clear of EA published games. If you think SOE is bad, EA is like the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse.

It's true, look how EA looked after the MOH: Allied Assault fans... Or how they work their staff to death without any compensation. I'd rather support Ubisoft (who have been releasing some excellent games of late... Brothers in Arms, Silent Hunter 3, the new Splinter Cell...) etc.
