The fact that everyone is arguing which elite billionaire should run a country shows the people, including here, have lost sight of 'by the people for the people' unless of course all the people are now billionaires., who only have their own best interests at heart. Billionaires and corporatism, the new form of government, are no different than kings.

He hasn't been president long enough for any predictions to have been proven or disproven, whether pro or con.
So now 6 mths isn't long enough and all those gloomy economic predictions leftists made are still waiting to be fulfilled. Gotcha.

It's called judging people not by how much money they make or don't make, but by what they do. Just as there have been good kings and bad kings, there are good billionaires and bad billionaires....

True, but i'll bet either will look out for themselves first. Unless it was inherited family cash, they didn't make it being patriotic, unless of course that was a convenient ruse used to fool the people. There's no such thing as a real life Mr Smith Goes to Washington.

I don’t know… negotiating peace in India/Pak, Congo/Rwanda, Serbia/Kosovo has saved millions of lives (men/women/children)… closing the borders has slowed fentanyl traffic and ended child trafficking over the border saving 1000s of lives, deporting alien criminals saved some lives, defunding Planned Parenthood could potentially save many lives of the unborn… How many lives have you and I (non-billionaires) saved during our whole lifetimes let alone over the last 6 months?

Who caused all those problems and for what benefit?
Not the billionaire who's ending the problems and saving the lives.... that was caused by some other billionaires who don't run for office but stay hidden in the shadows and order their puppets to do the job.

FYI, by law, the American people vote for a President every four years. A President cannot disallow that.
Easiest thing in the world. Trump has the deportation follies in full gear, trolling for a firefight. Did you see that show in MacArthur Park? A cavalry troop breaking up a kids summer camp? All it will take is a violent armed confrontation and Trump can declare martial law and it will all be over. At this point it may be only a matter of weeks.

You don't actually know what they do.

What billionaire Trump is doing is made known. You're complaining about it all the time.
No, I don't know what Trump is doing as a billionaire, but for sure, his life is more in the spotlight than any of the other 900 or so billionaires that live in the US. We have no idea what the rest are doing.

A lot of the recent early predictions were centered around his trade and tariff policies which for the past few months have been mostly on pause. We’re not actually living with his economic policies or their effects just yet.

This is about billionaires serving in public office. You know what Trump’s doing as a billionaire... he's a billionaire serving in public office and you complain about what he's doing all the time.

This isn't just about billionaires currently serving in public office, but the ~900 oligarchs who are currently controlling the government.

No, they're not generally going to serve in office because that would put them in a spotlight that they don't need because the government already runs for their benefit.

We will have to see the effect of the "One Big Beautiful Bill."

It will take right up to the midterm elections, at least, to be sure of the effects of that bill.

On average, how many nights a week do you stay up worrying about this happening? ^_^
