    Yes.

    Yes.

    Yes.

    Yes.

Why use the word "Despite" both statements are true.

The Father is the ONLY true God (for the is only one God) and the Son is also the ONLY true God. The Father and Son are not the same, but they are the same God.

"the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. "

Did PJ say there was not a period? I am lost as to why you think this important in your argument against PJ.

Anyway, there is teh verse above... 3 are 1 is what it says...

John list the three persons of the trinity then adds a colon. the colon says: "what about these three persons listed?"

John then asnwers: "these three are one."

How are you reading it, Ed?

    ZoneChaos,

    You wrote:
You are telling us that "the FATHER is the ONLY true God" means that the Father is "only one God" among "three ONLY true Gods". Thus, you believe that the SON is ALSO the ONLY true God. And I presume you will also tell me that the Holy Spirit is ALSO the ONLY true God. I haven't heard a more TWISTED interpretation of a verse to FIT a FALSE doctrine.

Apostle Paul says, "...there is ONLY one God, the FATHER" (1 Cor. 8:6). Taken with John 17:3, it's CLEAR that the ONLY one TRUE God is the Father. And taking John 8:40 with these verses, it is CLEAR that Jesus is a MAN - NOT God.

    It isn't a lie Ed.

We do not abide in YOUR doctrine that says only his little group are true Christians. True Christians do NOT exclude other groups/denominations just because they do not believe the exact same as you. And seeing as you think we are nothing but sinners and on our way to hell just because we are not in the Iglesia Ni Cristo, you are in the wrong.

I have all this! God is good! :)

She did not say she doesn't have God Ed do not put words in her mouth. Does God have you? The way you talk you berate everyone I say not. Nor does He have you.
    ------------------------------------------------------------

That is right we have all said this because the Bible, while not saying it verbatim, clearly describes it.

Ice, water, and water vapor are different things, but are they three seperate waters? No they are all the three entities of water. Ask ZC about Homousion (sp?) and you will understand.
    ------------------------------------------------------------

Well seeing as I am not blind nor hypocritical or a fanatic, I guess I am being honest about the truth!

Again Ed I am not a liar so quit saying so, nor am I blind and ignorant. Why do you resort to this anyways Ed. I know I haven't exactly been Christ-like in discussing with you, but you won't get through to anyone at all if you call names. Again my regrets for my part.

Anyways, I do not see that just because of the period it rebukes my argument.

Ed, I do believe despite what you say. You do not know my heart. God does.

You are the one saying I am not doing what Jesus says, not him. I know my relationship with God is real and that he is my Lord and Savior and that I am doing my best to stay within His will.

You have been calling us names as well. Again I reiterate my apoligies for not being Christ-like in this discussion. And the quotes you give are not about people like me.

I do not deny these scriptures, Ed.

I did not add the word at the end of the verse. You said I did. That is putting words in my mouth. Bad thing really. And the Trinity is not a false doctrine. 1 John 5:7 fits quite well! And I did not substitute "Jesus" for "Word" in John 1:1. You don't exactly need a Ph.D in Religion to see John 1:1-5 & John 1:10-14 as meaning Jesus is God in the flesh.

No I am not telling you that Father, Son, and Spirit are three Gods. By the way, my view is not twisted or false.

You put a limit on God by saying he cannot become flesh himself.

Ed, to end this post I will say some of my replies were not Christ-like at all and for that I apologize. But do not do things like starting your topics with "Dear Friends" then later on call us blind, fanatical, ignorant hypocrites, expecting us to be kind to you. If you think we are wrong just say that. Don't call us names. And I won't either.

    In Christ,

    Jeff

That is incorrect... there are not multiple Gods... there is only one God.

When I say "the father is the only true God" I am saying that He is the Only true God.. I am not saying He is one of three Gods. All three, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, are the only one and true God.

I am not saying that the Father is only one God among three Gods. I am saying the Fasther, is the True God.. and so is Jesus and the Spirit they all three are the one and same true and only God.

    This I do beleive.

    Yes.

What verse is that? Are you talking about John 17:3 - "17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent."?

I interperate that verese as saying that the Father is the only true God, and that iut was the Father that sent Jesus, the Son. Nothing more.. nothing less. Am I wrong in my interpretation?

Please show me where i have twisted scripture and tell me the scripture I have twisted.

Yes it is clear. But, this verse does not say that the only the Father is God, it says that the Fathe ris the Only God. Big diferecne there.

This verse doe snot say that Jesus is not God.. and many other verses show that He is. I do not oubt that Jesus was a man.. but I also do no doubt that Jesus was God.

    Need I say more?

For your information Zone, the Bible identifies the Father ONLY as the ONLY ONE God. Please read Isaiah 43:10; Isaiah 44:8; Isaiah 46:9; Isaiah 63:16; Isaiah 64:8; Malachi 2:10 and 1 Cor. 8:6.

There is NOTHING in the Bible which identifies the son as the only one God. It's only in the imagination of Trinitarians who would TWIST the Bible anyway they can to maker it fit their FALSE man-made doctrine.

yes you need to say more. I did not twist scripture... and you are claiming I did. show me where i did...

Paul said that the Father is the Only god. I said this. How is that a twist of scripture?

"This verse does not say that the only the Father is God,"

"it says that the Father is the Only God. Big diference there."

Do you not see the the differences in these two statemens I made here?

The first limits God to only one person... the second limits the number of Gods to only one. The frist leaves no room for the trinity, the second doesn't say anything about the trinity of the One god is speaks about, one way or another. Which statement do you think Paul is saying in the verse? And show me, grammatically.

Show me in the other thread. Te verses you gave there do not show this.... I am still waiting for you to present one that does.

First, there is based upon interpretation, which is the issue here. Second, why would "trinitarians" need, want, or desitre to create a false doctrine of the Trinity? What is the purpose of creating it?

I think this is pretty easy to understand with the scripture speaking very plainly in this verse.

    1 John 5:7
Fro there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word (Jesus), and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

I mean did it not say it right there, that these THREE are one?

The Word we know is Jesus.

    John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
    2. He was in the beginning with God.

    14. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
