I've recently started studying for my first actuarial exam and teaching myself calculus and C# programming. I guess that's my current hobby.

Very nice. I was a short order cook for almost 8 years early on and considered that as my career path at one point. I joined the army instead.

Good acting is such an amazing talent to me. I know zero about cooking. Was just telling my wife last night I may take a cooking class when things settle down. She liked that idea. Lol

I life weights and compete in powerlifting meets. I also do models, especially military like tanks and stuff, and most especially World War II German armor. I do model trains a bit, but the lack of space is quite a problem. I need a basement! I also have a 400 square foot vegetable garden that provides a pretty good amount of food.

Very nice. I was a short order cook for almost 8 years early on and considered that as my career path at one point. I joined the army instead.

I almost went into the Navy. Looking back, I greatly wish I had.

I left the Army after only a year and a half basically for several reasons that amounted to hardship and I often wish I had gone into the Air Force or Navy instead, that I would have stayed in one of those services and it would have been manageable on me and my family. That's a really big regret I have.

I am 35 now and if I were to go on and get my masters I could do a direct commission into the Navy or USPHS as a social worker. It something I have seriously considered, but probably won't end up doing because I don't know my family would handle moving around well.

Wow. I need to come hang out with you so I can be motivated to be more productive. I have a friend who spends three hours a day in the gym. I wish I knew how to get myself motivated to be like that.

I also used to work out six days a week. And then for a time, I was heavy into martial arts. Taught myself how to build computers and used to live doing that. As I've gotten older, my hobbies have changed in direct relation to my circumstances. Like I said, I went to film school, and it was in the hopes of writing/directing/producing films. When that fell apart, just about EVERYTHING changed.

If I talk about this any longer, I'll get depressed.

Mostly I knit. I enjoy it most because I can take it with me anywhere. I can do it while watching TV, sitting at the dr office, or waiting while my car is being worked on etc..

My hobbies mostly revolve around music. I play guitar and a bit of ukelele, but listen to lots and go and see live bands quite often.

The music I like ranges from Christian worship (currently enjoying Stuart Townend, but always enjoying Godfrey Birtill), Christian secular music (currently Philippa Hanna and Daughters of Davis) through to angry post-punk screamo style bands (The Dogbones, Queenadreena).

Regarding live music, in 2013 I saw Philippa Hanna 4 times, Stuart Townend twice, Godfrey Birtill 4 times, Daughters of Davis twice, The Dogbones once and a handful of tribute bands - Queen, Bob Marley, Free/Bad Company.

(I also saw the boyband Blue and Wet Wet Wet - but I don't really count those - Phillipa Hanna opened for them - I went to see her).

I like cars and motor-racing, though tight finances don't allow me to indulge. I drive an MGF - a two seater mid-engined British sports car and went to the LeMans 24 hours race last summer, and probably will do again this year.
