Do You Have a "Need"

Need....A condition requiring supply or relief, or to be in want

How many times during the day have you uttered that little word...need? How many times during the day have you heard someone else speak that little word...need?

"I need a drink, I need some food, I need a car, I need some relief, I need a friend, I need to go to the store, I need for my house to sell, I need some money, I need to mow my grass, I need to go to the doctor"...and the list goes on and on.

Every one of us is built in such a way that we all have needs. This is a needful world we live in...without some of our basic needs being met, we would all perish. Think about this...we all need water, we all need food, we all need air to breath, we all need sleep...Who cares about and supplies what we need to exist? It is God, who created all things. The word "need" is mentioned 49 times in the Bible. Here is one verse. Jesus said in Matthew, Chapter 6, verse 8 "Be not therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things you have need of, before you ask him."

So, when you hear that word, need, remember God. Philippians 4 verse 19 "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

You are so right! I have learned to completely trust Him and He has never let me down. He may make me wait til the last minute, sometimes, but He never forgets me.

I am thirsty (which is a need) and Jesus offers me Living Water.

I am hungry (which is a need) and Jesus gives me the Bread of Life.

I am doubtful (which is a need) and God gives me truth..in Jesus, who is the Way, the Life, and the Truth.

I am mourning (which is a need) and the Holy Spirit brings me comfort.

I was lost (which is a need) and now I am found.

Yes, surely as we have faith..our needs are met by a loving God.
