  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The best part about general contact is that, so long as you don't just jump into relationship mode, you can always be friends which is often better than any other sort of relationship you could have with that person. Oddly enough, most of my friends are female and I am glad that I never had anything more with them because I would have never gotten to know them as well and would have missed out on a lot of fun.

Oh and I talked to my crush this afternoon. Looks like she's coming over for dinner Friday. I better get to work on a Menu... Any ideas?

That's very true! I would love to be friends with someone before dating them. I've always wanted to date/marry my best friend.

LoL. Guys can be just as bad at times.

What about just saying something like I thought about making this and I just wanted to make sure you liked it because I didn't want to have something you didn't like or something to that affect.

It'll show her that you planned for the date and that you care about making her happy. (at least it would to most girls I'd imagine)

Eh, I think I'm just going to cook something ridiculous so she can't say she doesn't like it.

Start with an organic salad and a home made Italian vinegrette
Move on to some Salmon croquettes with a spicy prawn sauce
For a side dish, cucumber boats with a spiced sweet potato and crab meat filling
For dessert, home made creme brule.

The way I see it, I can't really lose this way unless she hates sea food but I know she likes crawfish so I doubt she hates sea food.

Cause I'm not "interesting" like Guenivere or Juliet or some grand thing of beauty and charm.

I'm interesting like something weird and kinda cool that you aren't sure you wanna get close to but you just can't look away from.
