The BBQ was fun yesterday, but no men that would have caused me to have a need for a crush.

Yeahhh... my dad and I built it together big beautiful multi-family house. Then I built my neighbors houses. I've built lots of things.

I built a house before, its fun. My favorite was walking on top of the first floor walls. I wanted to walk the second story walls to help set truss but they wouldnt let me. Even though I probably have better balance then any of the men that were there.

Trusses are very difficult to roll. More than just balance to do that, and very dangerous. Well the pre-fabricated trusses are, those you roll, but the hand built ones are just more so time consuming since they are cut and nailed piece by piece into place. But at least with those, one little slip-up won’t get you mashed.

Heights are fun. In my mid 20’s, some time after I had stopped doing finish and exterior carpentry (housing crash), I took a job doing composition roofing. On two story buildings I’d stand at the very top of the roof on the edge with my toes hanging over. Passer-by’s thought I was nuts haha.

I had a silly crush on someone in my class. Silly, because I don't know anything about him and only liked him because he's smart and outgoing. Anyway I asked him out to coffee and he said no. I'm not too upset, because he was pretty nice about it. I didn't like him *that* much to begin with - otherwise I'd never have dared to ask him out. Anyway, I'm over the crush now.

Anyhoot, as far as this thread goes, I might admit to a crush... if someone here fills my list. *ebil grin* and you don't wanna see the lengths and depths of that Behemoth of a list. The sight of it is simply astonishing. Only the future queen of England MIGHT have a chance. Or maybe the future Duchess of North America could squeak by if at all possible. It's just unfathomable that it could be filled by anyone human. It's far beyond the simplicity of a mere peasant woman, or the everyday toiling of one that hems second-hand dresses. Nope, future queen of all things, present and to be. All sing Holy-Holy-Holy set apart for thee.

Well maybe I just see the finished product in people at times, like how the Lord sees us as we will be one day. I think that really adds to the journey, that growth experience, as we move from grace to grace and grow into the things that will be, as we conform into His image. Life is meant to be experienced.
