Do you forget what your age is?

I've realised the other day that I'm forgetting my siblings' ages too! I couldn't remember my brother's age whereas before I could recall it 'off the cuff'.

yeah, because I lie about my age alot. And when those times come, like in the doctors office, or something, when you have to give the truth--I have to actually think about how old I really am. Isn't that sad?

Okay, I'm a goofus. Gonna share this story with ya.
All last year I told anyone who asked that I was 37. I was only 36 though. Duh! So, then when it came time for my birthday I was all tellin' my husband that it was depressing turning 38 and he said, "Um, dear, you'll be 37."
So he suggested that I tell everyone that I'm 38 so when it's my birthday, I can be relieved again!
So, yea, I do forget!

I forget sometimes. Which is odd, because I have to tell people my age a lot. I'm often mistaken for a teenager, and people at church tell me I should join the youth group, and people tell me I don't look old enough to be married, and I don't look old enough to drive, so I'm always having to clarify what my age actually is.

Believe me, I'm not bragging about looking young. It's the bane of my existence. It would be flattering if people thought I looked 18 and hot, but no, they think I look 12 and childlike. That's not flattering.

I find that I "forget" my age a lot! But I love it... as I get older and more aware of who I am as a person and especially as a Christian, it seems to, for some reason, become more & more of a non-issue. Of course, this could be a form of denial! My heart does not care about my age but my body is shocked everytime I try clothes on that it is not 16 anymore!!

Know what you mean! It sure would be nicer if they would think we were beautiful 18 year olds with the maturity & knowledge that comes with getting older! I too have always looked quite young for my age. I used to get so frustrated by it but have had enuff people tell me that I will love it one day that I have decided to look on it as a blessing. I don't have trouble at all remembering my age. It would seem to be quite the opposite for me. Every birthday is simply another reminder that I have less time ahead of me.

That's how I hope to live the rest of my life . When one is not extremely young, and not extremely old, chronological age is merely arbitrary.
